About this listen

Sometimes life leaves a mark....

Most days, Andrea doesn't know whether she wants to kiss Tanner or punch him in the gut. He is seriously hot, with legit bedroom eyes and that firefighter body of his, but he's a major player, and they can't get along for more than a handful of minutes. Until now.

Tanner knows he and Andrea have had an epic love/hate relationship for as long as he can remember, but he wants more love than hate from her. He wants her. Now. Tomorrow. But the more he gets to know her, the more it becomes obvious that Andrea has a problem. She's teetering on the edge, and every time he tries to catch her, she slips through his fingers.

Andrea's life is spiraling out of control, and it doesn't matter that Tanner wants to save her, because when everything falls apart and she's speeding toward rock bottom, only she can save herself.

Sometimes life makes you work for that happily ever after....

Good story bad narration!!!

I really enjoyed the story and liked how it showed the struggles that so many go through. It is rare to listen to books that deals with the struggles that so many people face every day! I will say that I HATED the female narration. It was a struggle every minute that she talked. The tone was not very pleasant and she made the character very unlikable in my opinion. I did love the guys narration . I thought that he did a really good job and I loved listening to his voice. The story was really good but I would def read the book over listening to this book but def worth the read!

Loved all of this!

I love this book. I can relate to the character because I do have depression and anxiety and the roller coaster of life that she goes through is so similar to what I used to go through. It’s insane. I also like the fact that it looks at the outside perspective of other people around her Dealing with her issues from different angles. I think it also gives people hope that they can get better or find a way to cope. The panic attack scene was spot on. And everything else is very accurate. I also liked the fact that someone you love could be right in front of you and you could never realize it until one day it hits you.

Male lead

I liked the male voice but the female voice was awful! It was hard for me to picture an attractive red head with that voice.

Inspirational for a taboo romance topic

Potential spoiler:

For a single woman that deals with mental Heath issues every day, it is so nice to have a romance novel that deals with this topic. I can read a regular romance and relate to an extent, but there is always that feeling that I do not fit that mold. So it’s nice that the woman gets the guy but how realistic is that when the guy has to deal with real issues.
Sweet, loving, strong, understanding and supportive men are needed.
Thank you

OK Read

This was an entertaining read, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Frigid. The main characters lacked... emotional connection to me. It just fell a little flat.

HMMMM WHERE TO START.....

HMMMM WHERE TO START, I ALWAYS PREORDER OR 1 CLICK BUY Jennifer L Armentrout's Books.... ALWAYS!!! I was Super excited about this book!!! I Love to the story itself, However the narration I struggled with! 😔 Natasha Soudek I don't think was the best voice To use.... her emotions didn't sound normal I just didn't care for her!! Maybe it's just me I don't know anybody is entitled to their own opinion!!! However on the other hand, Kyle Mason did a Great Job!! I don't regret buying the book but I will say I don't prefer her as a narrator!

I Want a Tanner 😂

First of all, I want to say that this book is recommended for readers who are 18 years and older. It’s very graphic sexually and the language is pretty rough.

I actually enjoyed Tanner and Andrea story. I thought I enjoyed the characters of the first book better until about the middle of this book. It’s nice to know that not all love stories have perfect situations. I felt I could relate to Andrea. I felt sorry for her and wanted her to just let herself be loved.

I did not like the use of the F word throughout the book. It was almost every other sentence when Tanner spoke and I think it was just over done.

Both the narrators did a pretty good job. I didn’t like the way Natasha read in the beginning, but she got better throughout the rest of the book. She was very good at expressing the emotions of Andrea. Kyle did a great job expressing Tanner’s voice.

I’d like to have a Tanner in my life. 😂

Beautiful story if our inner demons

This is the second book in the frigid duology. This book is a beautiful journey through someone battling their inner demons and a deep dive into mental health and addiction and how those two interact. It also is a romance, the story of Andrea and Tanner and working through those issues. The narration wasn’t great, but it was good, I listened to the entire book.
