Lots of action and tragedy

I love the Event group! I have enjoyed every book by David Lynn Golemon and I can’t wait for the next chapter of the team. There were some very sad moments which left me in tears but with all the danger the group has encountered it is inevitable that some will perish. I didn’t care much for the narrator because he did not always use accents like Russian or the French accent of Henry Farveau. And it seemed like most characters had a southern drawl. If I didn’t already know the characters from the Event Group I would have been confused on who they were. I really enjoyed the voice of Jeffery Kafer from The Empire of the Dragon so it was quite a difference. Thank you Mr Golemon for another excellent book! I can’t wait for the next book!

A Noticeable Trend

Is the author getting ready to shut down this book series or is the plan to change out all the characters? In the past few books he has killed off almost all of the primary people in this series.
The bigger concern is the guy reading the book. There isn’t too much variation in the voice as he portrays different people. Accents tend to slip away after a while. Worst of all is his cadence in voicing the book. It just may be me, but I drift off after a bit from the droning.
As far as the actual story goes it had a slow start, built to an interesting premise, then in a few short pages we have won out over adversity. Some characters and their development seemed pointless for their short life cycle in this story.

In love with these books!

I am really hoping this isn't the last and that there will be more! my only problem is the gentleman narrating this book! For one thing he can't pronounce words correctly him saying the word Shadow like Shade-oh is about to make me scream! accents if different characters go in and out. another word he seriously butchered was Pentacle pronouncing it pent-angle! like I said I really hope for more of these books because the story line, the characters, and everything in between is amazing just don't let this guy read them anymore. Please.

Narrator is poor

Yes the narrator leaves a lot to be desired. He definitely needs coaching. I was not willing to not listen because I absolutely love this series.

Bad narrator

What happened to the usual narrator?
Story suffers with really bad narration.
The previous Narrator was so much better.

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible Narrator!

I painfully listed to this awful narrator read this story, which was a typical and interesting Event Group tale and story line. His halting voice, pauses in strange places and bad character voicing made me wonder how he ever gets jobs!

1.25 speed

A complete decline in narration. I don't believe he even listen to the old ones to get an idea of what we were used to. Found it only bareable once put onto 1.25 speed. Story is still great enough to hanlde the poor reading.
