I love Inmon's interesting Middle Falls series and think he should concentrate on writing more of those. This diversion didn't work for me, especially since the narrator was somewhat annoying. I just didn't feel any connection with, or interest in, this story. I would, however, highly recommend Shawn and Dawn's true story, "Both Sides Now."

I’m a huge fan of the author, but this story was so juvenile in its writing and gave no connection to the reader whatsoever. The narrator spoke in such a bizarre and strange manner. When she spoke from the male point of view, you almost had the assertion that this couple were in their 80’s instead of middle aged. Also not to give away the plot, but the guy makes a massive investment in an overseas project, but never thought about ensuring the project from natural disasters was such boring and pathetic writing. We are to believe that somehow he’s made these incredibly insightful business decisions throughout his life, but puts all his eggs in one basket with absolutely no insurance policy and should a major accident happen was so unrealistic that it’s almost beyond comprehension. Yeah, to say that this thing was a total mess and disaster would be an understatement.
