Publisher's summary

The thrilling adventure based on the acclaimed TV series Star Trek: Picard!

Following the explosive events seen in season one of Star Trek: Picard, Raffi Musiker finds herself torn between returning to her old life as a Starfleet Intelligence officer or something a little more tame—teaching at the Academy, perhaps. The decision is made for her though when a message from an old contact—a Romulan spy—is received, asking for immediate aid. With the help of Elnor and assistance from Jean-Luc Picard, Raffi decides to take on this critical mission—and quickly learns that past sins never stay buried. Finding the truth will be complicated, and deadly…

Did they even watch DS9

They did Garak no justice at all, I will say other than that this was a good one. The story development of Rafi was great and always good to see Cristobal but wish he was in it a little more. Just completely sick on how the portrayed Garak’s character, mainly on how he talks and acts. The only thing they got right was his evil sadistic streak. I don’t ever write these but had to say something because I’m a huge fan of DS9.

A Good Story with a few Surprises

I enjoyed one learning more about my favorite DS9 character. The story expands the events after the Dominion War and what happened to other worlds after the war. It's a good read, kept my attention and hope to see more in the future.

Well worth it

I enjoyed this very much. I originally bought it for more on Raffi, and a moderate interest in Garak. Though at times his back story dragged a little, ultimately it was well worth sticking with that part in order to appreciate the resolution to his arc. I'll probably be thinking about him for a long time.

Raffi's story continues to intrigue me. I'm slightly confused how this fits (re time frame) with No Man's Land, which I thought was also between season 1 & 2 of Picard. No matter. Still good, still so glad I bought it.

The reader does an excellent job with every character except Picard. it's understandable, given Stewart's distinctive voice and delivery. It does not take away from the enjoyment of the book.

good book

this is a rafi book fyi. it has little to do with picard overall but he is in it. i dunno, it is okay but not great. there are several flashbacks that the author just slides into with no wRning And if you arent payimg explicit attention, you get lost. the end is solid...

Fantastic Star Trek story

This is a great story read by one of the great Audible narrators, January LaVoy. I highly recommend it for fans of the genre or even just fans of a great story, that happens to take place in the Star Trek universe.

The next generation is here.

The ultimate mashup of modern trek against old trek, this “wrapping up” of a legendary character wasn’t easy task or goal, but this book struck gold.

I miss the old lit universe but this book is a shining example of how the new age of trek is not only here, it’s phenomenal and inspired.

Top three of my favorite star trek books and the narrator was, as usual, top notch; the only con is it wasn’t two times longer.

Absolute favorite Trek Litverse yet!

I have read/listened to most if the Trek Litverse novels. I have enjoyed the Pickard series and this story made it even better.

The lady reading this is 7 of 9.

A human story done with aliens. I'm old enough to say as disabled as I am, she and others like her still keep me young inside!

Fascinating

First and foremost, I love unabridged Trek books in audio format, and January Lavoy is my favorite narrator for Star Trek books not read by the cast. She has clearly studied the characters and knows how to present their tones and accents. More January in future please! I was pleased that we got a new Trek resolution to Garak's story. Well done all around!
