Publisher's summary

What started as an adventure soon became hell. Piper Johnson’s thrilled to spend time in Timor-Leste with her best friend, a Peace Corps volunteer…until civil unrest erupts throughout the countryside, including an attack at the orphanage the women were visiting. With the aid of a SEAL team sent to extract the government employee, Piper flees with the only other known survivors - three young orphan girls. Piper wasn’t able to save her friend, but she’ll be damned if she leaves the girls to the mercy of child traffickers in the country’s impoverished capital. However, taking them with her to the States requires something drastic, something crazy…something she can’t do alone.

What started as a mission soon becomes fate. Since nearly dying on a previous op, Beckett “Ace” Morgan has no time for regrets. Life is far too short. So when he learns the brave, beautiful, selfless woman he’s rescued has a better chance of getting three orphans out of the country if she’s married, he doesn’t hesitate. Ace marries her then and there, instantly gaining the family he’s always wanted. With time, he knows his respect for Piper can grow into love, and meanwhile, he’s saved both her and their new daughters from a fast-spreading rebel incursion.

Protecting his girls on foreign soil turns out to be the easy part of the team’s mission. Protecting them from a threat waiting at home may be the biggest fight of Ace’s life.

Securing Piper is the third book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Love it

This story was heartbreaking. It just jumped right in with the emotions and the ending was just wow. I can't wait to see how this series goes because of how awesome this book was.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about a new narrator but Savannah Peachwood did an amazing job bringing this story to life. She was able to give each characters their own voice and even though I listen at a faster speed she still was awesome.

Great story..

Ace is on yet another mission, but this one will change his life forever. While attempting to save one woman, he finds another woman, Piper and 3 orphaned girls. While they attempt to leave a war torn country, their attachment to each other and the children starts as a rescue mission, they will eventually find themselves a family of 5.

Ace has always wanted a wife and children and when he has a connection to Piper and the girls, he snatches it without hesitation. Piper is devoted to saving the 3 girls her best friend saved before she was killed. When Ace decides that he wants all of them with him, she is more than ready to start a new life with him.

This was a great story. While we all know life is fast and there are times to be cautious and times to throw caution to the wind, these two managed to find each other and start a new life right from the start. We got to see how their relationship grew and how they were devoted to not only rescuing the 3 girls, but helping them understand their new country and customs. Of course, the Delta group surrounds them with love and support which makes the transition easier.

Unfortunately, the woman they were sent to save, could not be saved and her father is not handling that devastating news well at all. He will soon become a thorn on their side and will need to be dealt with, swiftly,

All in all, great story.

Devastatingly beautiful, must read!

*Sigh, clutches kindle to chest*

This book has ripped my soul from by body, placed it into an emotional blender and hit high speed. Ms. Susan, you are a dear, dear soul and I adore your books so very much. This is the third in the SEAL of Protection Legacy series, and boy oh boy is it a page turner!

We are brought back to the SEALS, and on this adventure we return to Ace and his team. There mission was simple, bring back the girl. Well...that did not go to plan at all, the women they are sent to find is no where to be found, instead they find Piper and three little girls.

The new mission? Get Piper and the girls back to safety pronto.

Piper was not expecting to spend three days under the floor boards of a house in the middle of nowhere mountains, but that is just where she finds herself after a rebellion breaks out in the small country. During that time, she bonds heavily with the three girls and finds herself not wanting to be parted from them. What can she do though? Well come to find out, she can do A LOT.

Ace has to be one of my favorite guys, he leads with her heart, and when his heart is telling him to help Piper keep these girls, well he does the only thing he can think of to make that happen.

He marry's her.

A new house, a new life, children and a spouse to boot, what have they gotten themselves into this time.

Join Piper and Ace and their new children on a suspenseful adventure of love, lose and new parenthood. As always, Ms. Susan's books are a one click buy, and a five-star rating, I can't wait for the next, and might just have to so a re-read of a series to tide me over.

Stoker does it again

This series is so good but I think all of her books are great. All the characters are believable and she wrings all the emotions out of the listener . Piper is gutsy and has a huge heart and all the seals are so dedicated to their women and each other you can tell they have each other’s backs no matter what. I just know that somehow Kaylee will be in a book soon and I can’t wait.

I Love This Series

Piper Johnson comes to Timor-Leste to visit her best friend, Kalee who is working with the Peace Corp. What started as a vacation for Piper turns into a harrowing experience when a band of rebels attacks the orphanage. Paul Solberg, Kalee’s father is rich and well connected. He petitions the Navy Seal team to find his daughter and Piper then bring them home. Instead of the planned rescue, they find Kalee dead, Piper, and three orphan girls the only survivors of the raid.

Securing Piper , the third book in Susan Stoker’s Seal of Protection series is Ace’s journey to his happily ever after. Ace’s attraction to Piper and the young girls is immediate. While Piper’s focus is keeping the young girls safe, she notices Ace too. Their journey off the mountain to the capital and the American Embassy is a getting to know one another time. Piper and Ace are protective of the girls and very careful about where they will be placed.

I enjoyed this story. Ace, like the other Seals, is single minded when on a mission. He is protective, confident, sexy and driven. He is sweet with the girls. Piper is a strong character. The girls Rani, Sinta, and Kemala are wonderful additions to the story. Their ages are four to thirteen allowing Ms. Stoker to show behavior at the various ages. Rani is very open and trusting. Sinta trusts but worries and Kemala is a typical angry teenager who knows the bad side of people.

Susan Stoker does an excellent job building suspense in not only a foreign country but when they are home too. Her knowledge of military life adds credence and relatability to the characters and their actions. The relationship between Ace and Piper moves forward at a slow pace even though some decisions are in the moment. While they are both attracted to one another, and Piper leans on Ace a lot, they are aware that the girls are present.

Ms. Stoker always ends her books with a tease for the next one in the series. Securing Piper ends with two teases, the next book Securing Zoey, and the last book in the series. I noticed some people mention a cliffhanger. I don't see it that way. For me, it is like all of Susan's books, she ends with a preview or coming attraction. Personally, I prefer the last book earlier but I’m guessing there is a reason for the delay. Securing Piper is another lovely story with a military theme that touches my heart. A must read.

Savannah Peachwood does an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoy her voice and the way she tells the story.
