Hannah Smith returns in the stunning new adventure in the New York Times best-selling series by the author of the Doc Ford novels.
A fishing guide and part-time investigator, Hannah Smith is a tall, strong Florida woman descended from many generations of the same. But the problem before her now is much older even than that.
Five hundred years ago, Spanish conquistadors planted the first orange seeds in Florida, but now the whole industry is in trouble. The trees are dying at the root, weakened by infestation and genetic manipulation, and the only solution might be somehow, somewhere, to find samples of the original root stock. No one is better equipped to traverse the swamps and murky backcountry of Florida than Hannah, but once word leaks out of her quest, the trouble begins. "There are people who will kill to find a direct descendant of those first seeds," a biologist warns her - and it looks like his words may be all too prophetic.

Critic reviews
"Her fourth outing may be her best to date, with a particularly effective climactic sequence that knots together every menace, and every sorrow, she faces." (Kirkus Reviews)
"Fans of mysteries that show an appreciation of the great outdoors will love this gun-toting, plane-flying, boat-living heroine." (Booklist)
"A tale of citrus, pythons, and intrigue [with] a breathless and nightmarish finale. By the closing chapter of Seduced, Hannah Smith’s life will be changed in ways she couldn’t have imagined." (Tampa Bay Times)

She has a moral compass, strong businesswoman, and there is a great narrative for the Florida Glades and surrounding area. Publisher summary is spot on and this is a series about investigation, but it is how the characters unfold and the topography that’s involved or the history that’s involved With the state of Florida. This had an oh my goodness ending, which kind of took me by surprise. I must’ve missed it and had to go back a couple of chapters. Hence my title. This is not a fast moving series and during those first few chapters. You have to be a little patient and then it picks up.
