About this listen

From New York Times best-selling author, Kristen Proby, comes Serendipity, the final installment in her gripping Bayou Magic series….

My sight is a gift and also a curse. It cost me the love of my life. We may have been young, but some things you don’t get over. Like being the cause of the biggest tragedy of your boyfriend’s life. It’s something I’ll never forget, and a reflection of who I am.

But now that Jackson’s back in town, with scars and a hero’s badge of honor, it’s time for me to be brave, too.

A malevolent evil hell-bent on making my sisters and me pay for rebuffing him is still stalking my family, and some ancient writings portended that the six were the only ones who could defeat him.

Jackson Pruitt and I round out that magical number, which means I have to face the evil and the things Jack makes me feel, to save my family and my city.

I never sought to reconnect with Jack. Working with him now means opening myself up to my feelings for him.

Refusing means destruction for us all.

LOVED this series!

I enjoyed this series so much! I'm so sad that it is over. We get Daphne and Jackson's story finally! I did have to do a quick relisten of the previous two audiobooks before listening to this one. I devoured all three books and yes, you do have to listen to them in order. The narration was fabulous! Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke and Lee Samuels are just amazing! Lee Samuels is the perfect creepy element to add to Brentmoor and Clarke's perfect narration. Loved all three!

Loved it!

I have been patiently waiting for this book and I was not disappointed.
This is the third book in the Bayou Magic series and what a great way to end this trilogy. Daphne and Jackson just stole my heart.
This is not a standalone you need to read the first two books in the series to really experience these three sisters and the battle that they face between good and evil with their soul mates.
I’m so sad that it’s over but I couldn’t put this book down, page after page the anticipation, the suspense, the romance, this book had at all!! Loved the narrators they captured these characters just how I pictured them.
I loved it!!!!

A Fantastic Ending

Serendipity is the last book in the Bayou Magic series, and it was a great ending to a fantastic serial killer, witchy paranormal romance. This book is Jackson and Daphne's story, which is a second chance romance. They are soulmate, and they have to finish what began with the serial killer in Shadows. Jackson was angry with Daphne when she told him how his father died, and left her years ago. Now he is back in New Orleans, and Daphne is angry with him for how he treated her. Jackson and Daphne are a part of the 6 to defeat the villain for good. The ending is good. The romance is good (closed door like the first two books in the series), an atmospheric PNR storyline about witches, and POV of the serial killer that is dark and unsettling that Jason Clarke slayed in the audiobook!

Serendipity

I am a big fan of Kristen Proby's books (and audios!), and I desperately needed the conclusion to her Bayou Magic series! This series is the first paranormal romance that I have read, and I absolutely loved it! There was just enough romance to keep the story going, with a good amount of witchy paranormal activity!

Samantha Brentmoor and Lee Samuel did a fantastic job of bringing Daphne and Jackson to life~ and Jason Clarke as the serial killer? Pure magic!! This was a favorite of mine this year!

Serendipity - Book 3 - Daphne

Being the last of the three sisters Daphne knows that Horace will be after her this go around. Book three wraps up the battle of the six. Its very well written with an excellent narration by Jason Clark, Lee Samuels, and Samantha Brentmoor. I loved listening to all three books in this series, great weekend fun.😍

Great Series Ender

The wait is over with the third book in the Bayou Magic trilogy from Kristen Proby. Serendipity is Landry sister Daphne’s story and has all the magic and suspense of the first two. This tale did not disappoint, packing a creepy punch right from the start. In order to defeat the evil Horace and what he has unleashed, Daphne must team up with her old love Jackson so that she, her sisters, and their partners can form “The Six.” Daphne and Jackson must work through some past guilt and hurt for this to happen knowing that they will need all six of the groups unique paranormal gifts that will make them stronger together.
The suspense in the story and the evil of Horace are really ramped up here. He has become unpredictable and erratic, which only makes this a more edge of your seat read, and Ms. Proby does not shy away from the violence of Horace as an unhinged killer throughout the story. This is definitely not a book to read alone in the dark!

Still traumatized by things from her past, it was great to see Daphne’s confidence in her abilities grow and become stronger and although the romance between Jackson and Daphne takes a backseat in this story, there is still a definite heat factor and good chemistry between the two.

Kristen Proby has built a unique and intriguing PNR world in this series and I am sorry to see it come to an end. I can only hope that she will expand her tales with a new set of characters and build onto what has begun with the Bayou Magic books.

Fantastic narration throughout with Jason Clark giving a beyond creepy performance as a serial killer.

Although Serendipity is technically a standalone, the first two books should really be read first. You won’t regret it.

What an ending!

You know what I love about Octobers?? The fact that Kristen Proby is writing some paranormal/witchy thriller reads for us and I'm here for them. They have the best characters and the plot has crossed over between 3 books seamlessly.

With the 3rd and final book in the Bayou Magic trilogy, we get Daphne and Jackson's story and it is intense, a little bit sexy and a bit of a second chance romance along with a second chance at putting down a serial killer for good. Daphne has the power to feel what "once was". It's her gift of sight that leads her on the hunt for Horace. And can we say how freaky this man is? His POVs aren't huge, but his actions are despicable and horrifying. If you listen to the audio of these books, he will make you shiver at his thoughts. And the fact that Kristen Proby got into his mind and created this character? Yeah...that creeps me out too. But then she goes and gives me a man like Jackson that loves fiercely and makes me believe that he will never leave again. Heck, all the men these sisters connected with are perfect for them and their family. I love The Six!

I'm kind of sad that this series is over, but I've since heard that Kristen plans to keep giving us these thrillers/paranormal type books in October, so I can look forward to those. But in the meantime, I may want to go back and re listen to them all. The books are good, but I'm sold on the audio. Their performances brought me to New Orleans with their accents and closer to the sisters and their other halves. And that Horace? Perfectly portrayed!! It's been a ride and I'm sad it's over, but will be looking forward to more in other worlds in future Octobers!
