About this listen

A gambit for independance puts Vandal up front, center, and in the crosshairs

Still reeling from heavy losses on Xenotia, the Chevaliers have a new client and a new contract—one that sees Vandal sent to the war front months ahead of the rest of the company on a special assignment.

Tasked with turning a hangar full of derelict uprights from a fallen star empire into a fleet of battle-ready uprights to spur a revolution, Vandal must learn how to lead his detachment of unruly mechanics. Because once they make planetfall, Vandal will step once more from the hangar to the cockpit. And those tanks are the only thing between him, and certain death.

I really enjoy this series I have listened to all the books several times at this point. I will say I have some pronunciation quibbles with the narrator of this book but nothing that can't be ignored.

Love the WarHorses Series

I loved it all. I know I basically said it in the title. But, I really want more of this. It's the only sci fi military styled Mecha book that not only can I find, but get into. It's not some political piece. it's not trying to be gundam the book. It's a gritty down to earth war dog mercenary piloting a just good enough mech with thick armor and big guns. It's a book about allies, brothers in arms, strategy, and even some twists and betrayal.

To the Author, if you're reading this, thank you. I'm upset I didn't find this sooner, and even more upset book 4 isn't out yet. I made it through all three in a matter of a few weeks of lunch break and commute listening. Keep up the good work. Each book has been just as good as the last.

How quickly it ended. and how much I wanted more to listen too. I can't wait for the next one
