"This isn't just some war being waged against us from the shadows, it's a massacre, a cull."
With the pack still reeling from their encounter with the witches, all anyone wants is time to recover. But the pack promised the vampires a favor in return for their help—and it's time to collect.
When the fight comes to the very edge of the packlands, it becomes clear it's not just the vampires who are under attack, we all are. With Calli's magic growing and the pack bond changing in unexpected ways, the last thing the pack needs is to be taking on another fight. But if there is one thing they know for certain—you can't afford to stop fighting when it's your soul on the line.
Contains mature themes.

The trouble never ends for this pack the the fated mates. A surprise is thrown on them that creates more issues in the pack, on top of the mounting threats they are already dealing with. The relationship between the fated mates is tested more than once and someone finally recognizes the oddity that mates are recognized when it's wolf and witch or other supernatural but they all seem to think the only way to recognize a human mate is for them to change. Once again everything falls upon our fearless MFC who seems to have a never ending list of things she is expected to do, while the guys work at the shop and play video games with the kids. This book ends on a major cliffhanger, one that will have you in tears and wondering wtf. There is spice in this book but again just a sprinkling and if it was left out of skipped over, the story would still be just as good.
That cliffhanger was cruel
