About this listen

Small-town tea shop proprietor Kylie Strange already has a lot on her plate. The last thing she needs is more trouble to spring up from the mystical Booke of the Hidden.

Keeping one step ahead of a scheming demon, supernatural assassins, and Baphomet - an angry god hellbent on stealing the Booke - it's all more than enough for one person to handle. And that's without mentioning her competing affections for the demon Erasmus Dark and the handsome, human Sheriff Ed.

But soon enough, Kylie and her coven hear whispers of new disturbances in Moody Bog. Strange creatures have been stalking the townsfolk and rumors of violent encounters confirm their deadly intent. Worst of all, the Booke of the Hidden is not to blame, and no one is sure what is.

Kylie and her coven of Wiccans need to prioritize. Which is worse? The mysterious and lethal creatures or Baphomet, who - if he gets his way - will unleash Hell upon Moody Bog...and beyond.

Contains mature themes.

Engaging & Captivating.

I can't wait to read the last book in this series of four books. If you like stories of demons, and other worldly creatures you'll enjoy this adventure. Miss Strange has had me laughing aloud several times. 😄 The narrator does a fantastic job. I will be looking for more audio books that she's narrated. 💕

Love triangle to love square was distracting

“I said I’d kill you”
“I don’t see a crossbow”
It thumped into my hand from the other room.
“I thought that was broken.”
“You thought wrong … no B, I wasn’t joking.”

The mystery side:
New monsters (zombie vikings), same looming threat for chosen gatekeeper Kylie to manage.
Some fun bits, some language, some redshirt death, but it’s the same Scooby level formula.

“Stupid Shibari, and her stupid face, and her stupid catsuit, and her stupid English accent.”

The romance side:
Are you kidding? Kylie’s already dating and jumping between their beds. This installment has her ex throwing his hat back in the ring … and Kylie letting him! …and all three guys are now aware of each other with only tiny grumbling. The love square gets even more high school with everyone from Shibari to Doug to Cherise acting like they’ve just hit puberty. It wasn’t sexy or fun; it was aggravating and distracted from the now formula story.
