Would you consider the audio edition of Shattered Hourglass to be better than the print version?

I don't know I haven't read the print version

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Did not do justice to the series. Felt way too Deus Ex Machina to wrap everything up quickly. I felt that where the characters were 3/4's of the way through the book needed at least another book just to move them forward.

What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?

He really portrayed each character very well!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes there was, and I wont spoil it.

Any additional comments?

Good series, though I feel deserved a better ending.

A heavy handed ending

Any additional comments?

so, this is the 3rd instalment in what is probably my favorite zombie series. hard to say but this one is not the best. different style, diffent feel, forced outcomes. I dont know you just fall out of love with the characters. The biggest reason I love zombie books is being able to put myself/family in the situations. this one, does not do that. but, that being said, its still better than half the zombie bookes out there. and the frist two are still top of the list.

last, but not the best

Would you listen to Shattered Hourglass again? Why?

Yes, I love the writer and characters (except the girlfriend). The book takes you on a journey and I found myself scared at times. Like when the protagonist sleeps on the bus and it's attacked by one of the stronger zombies

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shattered Hourglass?

Well, let's see. The scene where he travels to the broken down house and is inside when the zombie with a (I forget exactly what weapon he has) hatchet is banging on the door. He realizes this is no ordinary zombie. This zombie is different and more dangerous than the normal walkers/runners.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I wouldn't call it extreme, but I dislike when a zombie/adventure book (or movie for that matter) becomes detracted by romance. So, his girlfriend/wife did not interest me at all.

Any additional comments?

Good book overall. I like the author, his writing, and how he keeps me in suspense. I eagerly waited and monitored for the third installment. I wanted so badly to know how all of this started and if he would find answer. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't, in fact, an alien. But, I loved it either way.

Good book

I definitely recommend this book. The author does change style a little. The story was complex but I had no issues following. I can't wait to pick up the next books.

Really enjoyed

Loved this book. I was hooked from first book in the series and kept on reading. All were well written and the audio books were well narrated. This book wrapped up everything nicely but left it open for a sequel. I was invested in the characters. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves horror science fiction and action adventure.

Love This Series!

Admittedly the strong series trips a bit introducing some more major parts to the assault on the dead. But stick with it! The additional elements come together in the second half of the book, making a strong recovery.

I was pleased with the conclusion of the series and would love to hear more of the story

Almost got it

Bourne is responsible for my Zombie obsession. The first and second book of the series is awesome. Shattered Glass veers off course into choas leaving me unable to focus on the situations, scenarios, and characters. Say goodbye to the journal format of the last two books and hello to multiple character situations, which tugs on my ADD. LOL! The fascination with the main character's struggle has ended with the elimination of the journal format making the listen not enjoyable, hard to follow, and weak!

The positive side is the closer to several elements of the story and characters.

The book WAS worth the credit!

A bit on the dull side
