About this listen

Poltergeists, Egyptian myths, and a series of murders make 1898 a year Sherlock Holmes will never forget. From Camden Town to the diamond district, no part of London is safe. It will take all of his skills if Holmes is to keep himself, Doctor Watson, and their friends free from harm. He doesn't need any distractions. What a time for Lady Beatrice to be trapped in a volatile Paris.

Too many editing errors...stops and restarts repeated over and over again, and not edited out of the final product.

Great story, but too many editing errors

I enjoy the Lady Beatrice series and this contained some very engaging stories. The narration was outstanding.

Excellent stories

Excellently written and performed. Any chance we will have more from this author and narrator? Highly recommend, particularly if you (as I am) a Holmes fan.

The story is captivating, no getting around that. Dominic Lopez did an excellent narration, but in a great many places you hear the same lines repeated accompanied by hand claps which were, no doubt, to alert the audio editor to edit that particular section to get rid of the boo-boos. Apparently the editor was asleep at the switch or non-existent because at least 20 places where editing should have been done to insure continuity with a smooth flow it was obviously sadly missed. The same thing can be said of the sequel, "Return To Reichenbach".

The finest reader on the planet is only as good as his audio editor and I am assuming that in these two cases the editor was out to lunch or not paying the slightest bit of attention. It degrades seriously an otherwise wonderful narration. Love Dominic's voice, love the story but you need to fire the editor.

Where was the audio editor?
