About this listen

From New York Times Bestselling author Kristen Proby comes the final installment in her beloved Wilds of Montana series, featuring a small town, marriage of convenience, second chance love for the ages!

I have loved Millie Wild for more than eight years. Since that summer long ago when we were inseparable, stealing moments, keeping our love a secret.

And my girl has hated me for just as long.

When my father found out about my love for Millie, the daughter of the rival family next door to us, he threatened everything I love the most if I didn’t let her go. My father didn’t give idle threats.

I had to hurt her to save her.

And for eight long years, I stayed away. But now, my father is dead and buried, leaving a caveat in the will that in order to inherit what’s rightfully mine and my sisters’, I have to marry and stay that way for one full year.

There’s only one woman in the world that I would consider saying I do to.

Millie is happy with her life, owning her coffee shop, enjoying her family. I deserve her glares, her snarky comments. Every moment of pain, from her or self-inflicted, is mine to own. She deserves so much more than me, standing on her doorstep, asking her to marry me. To help me.

But she says yes. Yes to one year of being mine, and I plan to show her that she’ll be mine until the stars fall from the sky.

With the name Lexington, I know that I’ve caused pain for not only Millie but the entire Wild family. Will I be able to convince my wild rose that I’m in love with her for all of the right reasons, or will the centuries-old family rivalry tear her away from me?

Best in the series so far

There’s so much pain and heartache but it’s all in the past. So the reader just gets to watch all the happiness come to a sweet man who went through h*ll with a salt of the earth good woman.

The Final Chapter

Kristin proby did a great job closing the story in her 5th book of this series. Though I wish I had gotten more of the Wilde family
(Because I don’t want it to end!) this story captures the charm of Bitter root valley, gives us that sweet love story with spicy sections in between.
Overall, a great book! I hope there is another spin off with the Blackwell family!

Holden’s backstory wow

I don’t like DV at all. The one chapter from Holden has had me in tears 2 times over. And it’s the holidays. But I needed to know Millie’s story. Can’t wait for. Bridger’s story

Great conclusion to the series

This is a bittersweet read, knowing that it is the last book in The Wild of Montana series.

I have been waiting for Millie Wild and Holden Lexington’s second chance at love story.

Eight years ago they had a relationship but as their families were rivals, kept it secret, until Holden’s father forced him to stop seeing her. Now that his father is dead, could Holden get another chance?

When his father’s will is revealed, he learns that in order to inherit he has to get married. The only woman he considers is Millie, but after hurting her so badly, will she even accept?

What follows is an emotional, well written story that will get to you on numerous levels.

The narration by Sebastian York and Grace Grant brought the characters to life for me. Their voices were easy to listen too and they brought all the passion, drama, romance and humour to their performances.

She’s A Wild One was a fitting conclusion to what has become one of my favorite series from
Ms. Proby.

Cute

I’m not huge second chance romance gal but this one did hit the spot. The male narration was amazing! The over use of “husband” was starting to get to me. I wish it was a bit more slow burn I felt she forgave him a bit to easily

Ok

Disappointed in this story compared to the others in the series. I’m not a fan of the female narrator.

Raw, True Love!

The best parts of this book were the moments of raw, true, needy, heart-stopping love and sex between Husband and Wife. I will note Holden bordered on being too controlling, but managed to rein it in.

Sebastian York was superb in his voice interpretations, and Grace Grant did a good job, though I am not enamored with her rough voice quality.

The backstory of the family feud was interesting, though I’d love to know what made Daddy Lexington so darn mean & hateful.

And, oh, for unmarred beautiful skin - how I miss it. I am not a fan of tattoos and piercings, so could have done without that aspect of the storyline.

Again, the ending of the book should not be the intro to the next book; that’s just wrong. It takes away the good feelings of the epilogue that “were” marinating in your brain. That said, this listen is definitely worthwhile.
