"With a grand dose of humor and a good dose of memoir, Ship for Brains is a fine pick, not to be missed." (Midwest Book Review)

Amazing & funny. Didn't realize this was going on.

Didn't want to stop listening. The story that goes on behind the art on ships is amazing. Can't wait for his next book.

Hilarious and shocking. I couldn't stop listening. Well written and performed. I'm definitely getting the rest of the series.

Couldn't stop listening

I loved this continuation from the first book. I especially loved the narrators AMAZING talent to imitate all of the different people including the accents and other languages.

Lost most of book 1’s magic

After a surprisingly enjoyable listen of book 1 in this series, I went in excited to continue the story with book 2. Unfortunately, much of the first books magic is lost, with several time jumps and lackluster stories that weren’t nearly as interesting. I’ll likely be returning this one as I have no interest in listening again, which is too bad because I really wanted to like this one.

Ship for Brains

Ship for Brains continues Brian David Bruns’s Cruise Confidential series. This second installment continues the true life on a cruise ship. I liked the first book of the series, but seemed to like this one to be more fun. I laughed out loud quite a few times at some of the antics that happened among the ship. Gary Furlong does a good performance in the audio version bringing the words of the book to life.
I am giving Ship for Brains three and a half stars. I am interested to see what else happens on the ship next in the next book of the Cruise Confidential series, Unsinkable Mister Brown.
I received the audio version of this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

Fun glimpse of what it’s like to work on ship

As a fellow former carnival employee , not in dining room, I can say Brian’s book is an enjoyable look into the good and bad. Many who read this may be skeptical but I assure. You his book brings it to life with style. Thanks Brian

The narrator.

I liked everything. Great insight of what’s happening on cruise ships between crew members. I did not know that cruise ships have art exhibits and auctions. Great inside.

Trippy

At first confused, thinking it was a memoir, then saw that it was humor. Much is based on real experience, and knowledge of the industry. So it's a blend, like a fruity Caribbean drink. Have been on many cruises, and written about them. So I appreciate the insider look. If you think of this as a bawdy Love Boat with added art knowledge you come close to appreciating the offbeat nature of it, ably narrated.
