About this listen

James Harrington.

That’s my name, my birthright, and my curse. I didn’t always hate being a Harrington. At one time, I took it as a privilege. I used it to my advantage. But a name doesn’t stop you from losing everything, and after six haunting years, that everything is back forcing me to face the past or give up a future.

Evie Harrington.

I bet you didn’t know about me because James doesn’t talk about me. Or to me. We had it all and I was never happier. My family was my entire world, but that world shattered. When faced with the unimaginable, is there a way to put the pieces back together? After six painful years, it’s time to accept our history and move forward or move on from one another.

It’s the final Harrington brother, so hold onto your hearts. Silver Biker is going to be a bumpy ride.

A heartbreaking & steamy second-chance romance

This book gutted me! James is the Harrington family black sheep. Never one to follow conventional paths, James has always been a bit of a wild card. An encounter in the woods led James to the love of his life. Evie was the light to James’ darkness, his peach. After tragedy struck, they were torn apart and he isolated himself from his family for nearly a decade. Now that his sunshine has swung back into town, will he give her what she asks for or fight to win back his wife?

Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder were outstanding in their narrations of Silver Biker. Aaron’s deep, gravelly timbre was perfect for James’ broody, broken biker personality. His impassioned portrayal made the heartbreaking story even more gripping. Emma Wilder is spectacular in her performance of Evie. She gave life to Evie’s full character arc from the wild, vibrant young belle to the heartbroken, struggling scorned woman. This is a wonderful, heartbreaking slow-burn small-town romance. I highly recommend this audiobook. Grab a glass of wine and settle in for this tear-jerker. You may want the tissues close by.

Best of the bunch

Saved the best for last…it’s a great love story that could actually be real. So many love stories include too much fantasy. This is the perfect mix!

Five stars plus

This is my second book by this author. I read many books by various outstanding authors, but Ms. Dunbar is absolutely one of the best romance authors of our time. Her carefully constructed stories are more than a simple romance. Her stories have heart. You feel you are living in the story. Add two great performers and you end up with a masterpiece. Thanks L.B. Dunbar for sharing your talent with the world! I highly recommend this book.

Good second chance story

I enjoyed this somewhat angsty story. James and Evie have been separated for years after then endured a trauma. When Evie comes back to ask for a divorce, that neither truly want, they have to start deal with their history and the pain. This was a great story of how you can overcome pain, but that it isn’t easy.

Read the book before you listen to this Audiobook

Thankfully I read the book before I listened to it. Being the last book in the series and with all the hints of James in the previous books I was awaiting this story. However, I was always distracted by the female narrator voice it took away from the emotional story. Male narrator was fine. I love LD Dunbar books!

good ending

this was a good ending to the series. Hopefully there will be more on some of the towns people like Clyde and Grace. Aaron was easy to listen to as a narrator.

My favorite book in the series 😍

This hit the trifecta! Great story. Great writing. Great narration.
I don't want to give spoilers so I'll just say this is a well written emotional story that was not overly angsty and some of the hottest sex scenes. I cried and got hot in the pants in the same book.

Wishing for More Silver Foxes

I just finished the 2nd series of over 40 series and I wish there were a dozen more. I love reading about more mature characters that are smart and vulnerable and have life experiences that are believable. You give hope to second chances at love. Thank you!!!

Good story, great narrators

Had to stop book 1 because of the female narrator. This one was so much better. Loved the portrayal of Ranger. He could search & rescue me anytime.

Seriously though, this was a great snapshot of parental grief, miscommunication, assumptions, trauma, & family keeping two lovers from each other. Add on top of that 4-5 miscarriages. Someone should have begged them to get some trauma-informed help.

LB was sensitive, thorough, & did a magnificent job of sharing a sliver of a world with us!

Pretty good

I like that this is about a couple older than 30, and I liked the characters. However, the story was a bit repetitive, and felt too filled with needless drama. The male narrator was great. Emma Wilder just gets on my nerves. Her male impression is to lower her voice and make it shake, and her female voice is just weird. She stresses words in a strange way. This was my first book by this author, and I won’t try another unless it’s in the Escape package.
