About this listen

She's too young for me.

Loving her is so wrong, but it feels so right...

I'm too much of a playboy and despite my silver hairs, I've never settled down.

When my former student waltzes into my office 13-years-later with her son in tow, I'm driven to protect her.

I'll risk anything to keep her safe.

My job...

My secrets...

She's the woman I want to be with. She's mine.

No one from her past can tear us apart. I won't let them.

Not now, not ever.

This is a naughtier than ever alpha-male interracial romance. These sections are dripping with no-holds-barred lust to keep you listening ’til the end. This is a full-length novel of sizzling sexiness, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA.

short

it could have used more developing. there was a disconnect in the beginning of the relationship between victor and tammy, straight from beginning to the end. it could have been sho much better. feels like a rush job. i would still recommend

Enjoyable

The narrator wasn't very good, however Silver Fox did not disappoint. I liked it a lot.

Ok Read

I wanted to stop listening, but kept listening. Some sentences were repeated in the beginning, the narrator was whinny and Tammy was too naive. How do you let your son's father and your high school have control over your life. Also you rich use your money to get rid of the no good father, and check Stephanie in front of everybody. Tammy needs to get a back bone.

Hmmm

Usually, Camila Jasper is an author who can usually be counted on as a good storyteller.
..However this one wasn't one of those, didn't care for the FMC, as came across as just really gullible only saving factor was her limitless love for her child. Narrator did the best that could with what she had to work with, an easily duped FMC. Overall just found difficult to finish, which is unusual for an author of this caliber 🙃
Ends on a cliffhanger🤐

Ok

The story was ok, I don’t like the ending? Is their another book? Tammy needed to get a backbone, I wish the reunion would have been featured between Jabari and the grandmother. A lot of loose ends!!!!

struggled

I did finish this one but it was a rough go. The book itself has some good view points but for the most part I wasn't a fan. It seemed that the characters were flat so the key to fixing that was drama? Im not sure if it was the narration that made it a 3 star vs a 4 star book though. The narrator did a not so good job. She was over the top dramatic. She would sound like she was in the verge of tears in the worst spots. I can't count the times I said out loud... OMG.... cause I was that exasperated.

Couldn’t get through the story.

It seems like a great book but unfortunately I couldn’t get through it with the narrator. She didn’t sound like a black woman would. For instance at one point she said she hated being stern with Jabari, however, she didn’t sound stern at all. She sounded panicked and worried which didn’t fit the scene. Maybe audio books are not for me.

What Type Of Storyteller

Jamila Jasper is such an excellent writer. It is a shame the devastating Leah Goodman caused with her reading. Unfortunately Ms. Goodman should only ever read to herself. She slaughtered the artist writing of Ms. Jasper with her atrocious Dracula, on the verge of crying, whining, and fake masculine voices. Nothing in her oral depiction of the main characters made me feel like he was sexy or that she had been able to raise a child by herself, much less sustain her own facilities. If it were not for my like of Ms. Jasper's writing, I would not have completed this story. In future Ms. Goodman should think before she speaks out loud someone else's words. This could have been a MARVELOUS story and set-up for the next book if she had not been chosen to tell it. Unfortunately I will not purchase the next book on audio if she is the storyteller. Ms. Goodman owes Ms. Jasper an apology for that audio waste.
