About this listen

Part two of a duet

My world is on fire, and I’m obsessed with the girl who lit the match.

Bloodied knuckles and a lifeless body at my feet confirm it: Penny is my demise.

My gentlemanly façade is nothing but a memory.

My sins are seeping through my shirt like ink.

I tried to leave her. Couldn’t do it.

I tried to snuff the life out of her. Couldn’t do that, either.

So we’ll slow dance in the flames until I’m nothing but ash and embers.

I’ll only rise like a phoenix when she’s gone.

The problem is, I’d never let her go.

No, she’d have to run far, far, away to escape me.

And maybe she will if I just told her the truth: I own the Sinners Anonymous Hotline. And I’ve listened to every call she’s ever made.

Dark mafia romance. Enemies to lovers. Age Gap. Slow burn.

Somme’s notes:

Sinners Consumed is part two of a duet. Rafe and Penny’s story starts in Sinners Condemned.

For a better listening experience, please listen to Sinners Anonymous before listening to Sinners Condemned and Sinners Consumed.

You should know that I write dark romance and that my stories—including this one—aren’t for the faint of heart. They contain several triggers, so they aren’t suitable for everyone.

Loved this

This whole series is very good. The stories, the couples, the angst, the narrators. There are apparently two more which aren’t audiobooks which makes me sad.

Rory's Thanksgiving Dinner!!

Ms. Sketcher did an amazing job. She kept the focus on the two main characters but used Rory and Angelo as side characters. It was hilarious. Rafe & Penny's story. Very well-written.

Crème de la crème

There’s nothing bad abt this book duet. I sped through two books in 3 days (and I still lived a busy life) so safe to say I was OBSESSED and the characters might be my fav and the narration was so good. Yup. Yes. Read it.

Enemies to lovers, hot, hot hot

The conclusion to this enemies to lovers story was fantastic, Rafe and Penny are destined to be together. I absolutely loved the banter between these two characters, the pull they had for each other. The heat between these two characters was great because of the aspect that neither one of them wanted to cave to the other, but also couldn’t be with anyone else. The spice on the book was a four out of five the narration was going on for both of these characters, both narrators did a really good job of bringing these characters for life.

Amazing!!

This whole series (including part 1 of this duet) is fantastic! I love Rafe and Penny’s story as much as I loved Angelo and Rory! I love that the plot continues into the next book from the POV of the new characters. The writing is excellent and so is the narration. I just can’t get enough!

Damn Somme Sketcher Can Write

Damn Somme Sketcher Can Write!

This book is a continuation of Sinners Condemned, so listen to that first. Absolutely love the story. Brooke(Penny) is amazing and Stephen(Rafe) is pretty good as well.

Narration may ruin it for you

I love everything that Somme writes. She is a gifted storyteller and I am eagerly waiting for her to continue this series.

The female voice actor is a spit talker. It is especially noticeable with any word that has the letter P. Once you hear it, you can’t unhear it. It’s like she’s spraying onto the microphone. She also drops consonants. Palm is pom. Vodka is vokka. If that’s the sort of thing that bothers you, just buy the hardcover as the story is worth reading.

Narrating Perfection

This is a re-read; or listen, if you will.

The narrators have really added on to everything I love about this story and the characters. They’ve captured the voices and tones of every single character. I couldn’t imagine Penny and Rafe any differently.

As an avid audiobook reader and consumer, this is like in my top ten favorites.
