Sylvie Lightner is no ordinary P.I. She specializes in cases involving the unusual, in a world where magic is real-and where death isn't the worst thing that can happen to you .But when an employee is murdered in front of her, Sylvie has had enough. After years of confounding the dark forces of the Magicus Mundi, she's closing up shop-until a man claiming to be the God of Justice wants Sylvie to find his lost lover. Action.....

I liked this! I think the story flowed well and there was something going on constantly. Marnye Young has an "easy on the ears" voice which I appreciate. Nicely done.

like stepping into a 3rd book of a series

This was a struggle because we are constantly playing catch up and being bombarded with back story. Every new character seemed to have a history and back story. New characters were throughout the book, so it was constant catch up. The story still would have been good or OK but the ending was unsatisfying.
