Publisher's summary

A tormented past. An infernal legacy. The fires of hell await a new master....

Once the chief exorcist for the Vatican, Blake Rossi spent years of his life battling the minions of hell. But when his latest demonic target reveals a dark secret from his past, Blake finds his entire life turned upside down. He is shocked to learn that a demon was responsible for the death of his mother.

Determined to journey to hell and slay the creature responsible, Blake reluctantly enlists the help of an escaped demon. But first, Blake must help his partner Gregor overcome the debilitating injuries he has suffered...injuries Blake himself feels responsible for.

As Gregor begins to heal, he discovers that Blake is sinking into the depths of temptation. Drugs, alcohol, and the pleasures of the flesh crush his tortured soul in their unholy grasp. Soon, he will be beyond saving. And the only way to free him is to kill Blake’s hellish new partner.

But as Blake and his allies battle to save his soul, the demon responsible for Blake’s tortured past watches from the fires of the abyss. This ancient evil seeks to gain power, and rise into the elite circles of hell. And only one thing stands in its way.

A bitter ex-priest named Blake Rossi....

Stalking The Demon

Blake Rossi is determined to kill Steven, his father - and he will sell his soul to do it. After making a pact with a demon to help his friend regain use of his legs, he turns his sights back to Steven. After gaining some help from an angel, he might just have Steven in his sights - but there are going to be some consequences that he is not yet aware of..

This was an interesting read - hopefully the author continues this series, as it was left open for more books to come. I need some answers from this read!

Book 2 is even better

This is book number two in The Blake Rossi Series. It is a scary book you could read as a standalone but it would be so much better if you read book number one Demon Knight first. Gregori was injured in book # 1. So Blake is helping Gregori. The storyline continues with believable and interesting characters. So many twists and turns. This book is narrated by Jake Urry and he keeps you on the edge of the seat. I recommend this book.

Better than the first.

So this was much better than the first!! Gregor was seriously injured in the first book and is wallowing in self pity. Blake is determined to help Gregor and also find his father. Blake is offered help from an unlikely place but it goes against everything he believes. I don't want to say too much more about what happens because it will be easy to spoil thing, but I will say that this is darker and secrets are revealed that makes me excited for the next one.

I loved book 1 because of the characters and I loved them even more here. Blake is struggling with a lot of things and what happens in this edition shocked both him and me :) The plot really starts to progress and things seem to be slotting into place. We see more Demons, we see more Angels and both Blake and Gregor seem to be an integral part of something big.

In all, this series has grown on me. While book one was good, this was better. Fast paced, exciting and captivating, it all adds up to me waiting impatiently for the next one to see what happens. The ending is a bit of a cliff hanger but I don't mind as I know I won't have to wait ages for book 2!!

Jake Urry is one of my favourite narrators. He has such a distinctive voice that he stands out from the crowd and that's what you want. He has plenty of tones and voices for the characters and he knows how to bring the atmosphere to life. I also have to applaud his tones for the demons, it gave me shivers.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Nothing like an unexpected ending

Wow, this book was a crazy ride. So many things that are unexpected. I hope there is another book in this series. If you want to get into a series that will keep you wondering who will be the next person you can’t trust. This takes all of things you thought you knew and turns it all upside down. This is a ride you don’t want to miss.

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.

Strange kind of story. Author has total freedom with all the wonders of Heaven AND Hell but you ended up with a luke warm soap opera. Pray it ain't so!

This book was much better than the first.

I found it very difficult to get into the first book. I was thinking there were three books, but there are only two. That makes me sad, because this book is a 180 in comparison to the other. This book is much easier to get into, and it’s almost like she found her groove with this one. I became more attached to the characters in this one, versus Demon Night, which had the same two main characters, but they were just characters in a book in Demon Night. There’s more depth to them, their personalities, and their friendship in this book.

Demonic Horror

I totally enjoyed this horrific demon fiction especially the characters of Blake and Gregor and there are new characters in this book, you have to read Demon Knight first and this book is even better. Blake Rossi is an ex-communicated priest in search of Stephen (his father) with the help of Lance and Barabiel and even made pack with demon Dax. Can Blake decide to make a pack with Dax to get Gregor out of the wheelchair after being seriously injured helping Blake with demon (must read 1st book)? Cannot what to find out what happens next especially with Abaddon. Recommend if you enjoy demonic/angel horror.

Really good apocalyptic story.

This story is a frightening telling of things that could possibly happen leading up to the religious apocalypse.
