About this listen
The Skinwalker is deeply embedded in the Native American lore of the peoples indigenous to the Four Corners region of the American Southwest. Though contemporary archaeologists and anthropologists have uncovered significant evidence of its presence in the art of the ancient peoples which inhabited the Great Basin and surrounding lands, there is no explanation for its origin - beyond an alternate plane or spirit world - or its eventual, and temporary, disappearance.
Regardless, history documents that the Skinwalker was again drawn forth by the shaman of the Navajos to avenge the cruelty of their enemy, the Utes. To this day, the Skinwalker remains among us, haunting a corridor among the hills and canyons, known as the Path of the Skinwalker. This audiobook is a collection of actual, modern Skinwalker encounters, as told by those who came face-to-face with this frightening and supernatural being.

Leading a first-class team of research scientists, Colm Kelleher spent hundreds of days and nights on the Skinwalker property.

Communion is the iconic classic in which Whitley Strieber describes his 1985 close encounter experiences. This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author. Do not miss this great classic and the powerful introduction that explores the situation as it stands today—even more provocative and important now, as official sources are admitting that UFOs are real unknowns and that they seem to have something to do with close encounters.

When this work was first published in 1970, it shredded the then-trendy nuts-and-bolts extraterrestrial hypothesis for UFOs in favor of one that linked UFOs to a variety of paranormal and supernatural phenomena that have taken place throughout history. Keel was one of the first to note that the UFO phenomenon appears in different disguises - and that one could not begin to decipher this great mystery without first taking into account its many and varied deliberate deceptions.

Story
A lyrical and authentic book that recounts the story of a border-town family in Brownsville, Texas in the 1980s, as each member of the family desperately tries to assimilate and escape life on the border to become "real" Americans, even at the expense of their shared family history. This is really un-mined territory in the memoir genre that gives in-depth insight into a previously unexplored corner of America.

Story
In the five years since Julia last visited her aunt and uncle’s home in Malibu, her life has been turned upside down by her daughter’s death. She expects to find nothing more than peace and solitude as she house-sits with only her dog, Bonnie, for company. But she finds herself drawn to the handsome man who oversees the lemon orchard. Roberto expertly tends the trees, using the money to support his extended Mexican family. What connection could these two people share? The answer comes as Roberto reveals the heartbreaking story of his own loss – a pain Julia knows all too well, but for one striking difference: Roberto’s daughter was lost but never found. And despite the odds he cannot bear to give up hope.

Story
Harrison Scott Key was born in Memphis, but he grew up in Mississippi, among pious, Bible-reading women and men who either shot things or got women pregnant. At the center of his world was his larger-than-life father - a hunter, a fighter, and a football coach. Harrison, with his love of books and excessive interest in hugging, couldn't have been less like Pop, and when it became clear that he was not able to kill anything very well or otherwise make his father happy, he resolved to become everything his father was not.

I'm glad Ryan collected these stories and shared!
It would be nice indeed if the elders would tell all they know. the narrator did a great job.

Nice and spooky
I may be a little biased since I’m from the area that most of these stories are set in but I find these stories to be pretty scary. Not like I can’t sleep now scary, more like, I wouldn’t want to listen to these in the dark woods by myself scary.
The narrator is really great at having a raspy, creepy tone that brings some life to the stories and hooks your attention in right away. I also subtly enjoy that somebody named SKINNER wrote a book about skinwalkers. That’s just very humorous to me.

Dry
No stores relating to Skinwalker Ranch. Narration is monotonous and I’ve heard scarier stores around a camp fire. Don’t purchase.

Pretty silly and a little boring
A bunch of really short stories which pretty much sound the same. There just isn’t much to this book.
