About this listen

For a very long time, Jack Ketchum and Edward Lee have followed their separate paths of line-crossing, gut-wrenching, no holds-barred storytelling. Now, those roads have drawn close and merged for a collection of five collaborative stories guaranteed to shock, amuse, disgust, and bring lovers of extreme fiction back for more. Along with the five stories, the authors have each included the first draft of one of their stories, showing the rough-base that becomes the foundation for their fiction, and giving listeners a good chance at separating their voices in the collaborations.

Replace the word cat in the title. I just want you to know when I say this is porn, you don't think I am kidding. Let me also mention that all holes are licked and poked and described in detail. This is porn.
THE DEAD ARE PEOPLE TOO
If you can get past the porn part, let me say I really enjoyed three of the seven stories. Two of the stories were the first draft of two of the stories we already heard. If you are wanting to learn how to write and want to know the difference between a first draft and a finished product, that might interest you, but for the average reader it was disappointing to basically have two stories repeated.
EYES LEFT
Eyes Left is a different and interesting zombie story.
ALL THAT BEAUTY AND DIVERSITY
John Lee is a great narrator

According to the afterword Ketchum and Lee has a ton of fun writing these stories together. I bet they did although fun isn’t the exact way I would describe it. Sticky maybe, but not fun.

A fun and sticky collection of stories

This is a collection of short horror stories that were a lot of fun to listen to. I liked how they were all quite different from each other, yet had the same tone and seemed to really fit as a collection. Nothing is as it seems with these stories and make sure you always are a step ahead of everyone else. These stories contain a lot of graphic sex and twisted themes that will surely keep you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed hearing the draft versions of two of the stories, it really shows the difference between draft and final, interesting to hear what changes.

Really enjoyed Eyes Left. Felt like this was a completely different take on zombies than anyone else has offered. As a huge fan of zombie novels, I found this quite refreshing. Thought the game of alive or dead was such a brilliant idea for a bunch of drinking buddies to be playing in the world of zombies. Too bad for them it doesn’t stop at just that game.

John Lee did a great job with the narration. Listening to him it is easy to see why he is such a prolific narrator.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Wake Me Up and Don't Let Me Snore

Take every silly word you've ever heard for the act of sex and genitals and purée them with a collection of original angry boy tales and slurp it all down. Very sweet, almost way too sweet. It's not good for you and you won't learn anything, but it tastes great anyway.
Enjoy.

Sophomoric, but a lot of fun!

When two hardcore horror writers do a collaboration "just for fun," you get a no-holes-barred (there's a dirty pun in there) sexy, crunchy, bloody, twisted, good time. I wanted ten more of these stories.

Ed Lee and Jack Ketchum are two of my favorite horror authors and this is an interesting collaboration. Two of the rough draft stories are included and it is interesting to compare them before and after collaboration.

So cool

I read pretty much everything these two put out, so this was an interesting one for me. Thought the narration could've been a little better, but definitely worth listening to.

Good to see these guys team up.

If you’re looking for a great Jack Ketchum or Edward Lee tale, this is not your cup of tea. Porno-horror with little character development.
I want my damn credit back

Sophomoric to say the least
