About this listen

He tasted like tequila, and the fake name I gave him was Rose.

Four years ago, I decided to get over one man, by getting under another. A single night and nothing more. I found my handsome stranger with a shot glass and charming but devilish smile at the end of the bar. The desire that hit his eyes the second they landed on me ignited a spark inside me, instant and hot. He was perfect and everything I didn’t know I needed. That one night may have ended, but I left with much more than a memory.

Four years later, and with a three-year-old in tow, the man I still dream about is staring at me from across the street in the town I grew up in. I don’t miss the flash of recognition, or the heat in his gaze. The chemistry is still there, even after all these years. I just hope the secrets and regrets don’t destroy our second chance before it’s even begun.

Asymmetrical

Great book and loved the story, but if you want to have a little fun while reading this book, you should take a shot of some whiskey every time an “asymmetrical smile” is mentioned in both books. You will end up more than a little tipsy!

Story can bring the tears

Rate this book: 4 1/2 stars
Narrators were very good.
Plot: The damage family with "good intentions" can do just so everything looks good on the outside. The universe taking its time to make things better.
Characters I liked: Robert - despite breaking his girlfriend's heart (pressured by a despicable father) he redeemed himself when she needed him the most. I hope he gets his own story and a HEA, too.

Lost Loves and A Love triangle

She had to go back home to her small southern town. Back to where her first love was right after he broke her heart and she had done what she thought was the unthinkable that night while away at college. Back home she is now living the life she did and didn’t think she would ever have.

Entertaining story but…

I lived in Beaufort, SC for many years and I cringed every time the narrators mispronounced Beaufort. I know this sounds picky, but there is a Beaufort in NC and SC and they said it the way you would in NC, and it’s an important distinction for people from these areas. I hardly ever review books and I hate to leave anything negative bc I did enjoy the series.

Small Town, BIG Romance

I couldn't put this book down. It took me two evenings after work to finish this duet. Loved it.

Good plot, spice level 🌶

The FMC can be a little immature at times but it is a good plot that has enough drama to keep you interested. If you're a darker romance reader then its a 🌶 spice level. The narration is great, I love me some Sebastian York.

WOW!!!!

This is my first Willow Winters book! I've had several on my TBR, but not enough time!!!! Book 1 in this two part duet was one. So when she combined this duet into one book, plus offered for $.99, it was go time!!

And OMG, what a book this was. It had all the feels you could want. A #Second Chance, #unexpected Pregnancy, #torn between two lovers amazing book! There's a lot of angst here, and while I'm not normally all about the angst, I do love it on occasion. And this book was worth the Heartwrenching emotions I felt! Needless to say there will definitely be more Willow Winters in my future!!!

Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet did a fantastic job narrating!! Such a great book, highly recommend it!!! ❤❤❤❤

Not bad but was frustrating

Magnolia was frustrating. Her indecision will make you not like her at first. She just had to get her backbone.

Will you be writing a second book?
It’s a beautiful love story . I love how she has a village with just her friends and her daughter

Not For Me At All

First if I knew there was going to be a weird love triangle I’ve never would’ve read the book.
I understand slow burn but, this was a slow slow burn. I started flipping pages.
As for Mongolia, the town isn’t so wrong about her. It really upset what she did to both guys how many times can she get flustered and run out of a restaurant? I feel so bad for Brody. He does deserve better.
I usually love small town romances but, not this town. Robert her ex boyfriend, now his dirty little secret is always in her business. He rents Mongolia a place to live for free and I guess he feels entitled.

Brody deserves to know his daughter. But, Mongolia keeps running off. If I was Brody I’d tell he already know she has daughter.

Once again too long and too drawn out.
