When killers hide in the shadows, it's time to set the world on fire.
After declaring war on the criminal underworld, elite assassin Reed Montgomery uncovered a crippling secret: the organization he's fighting was founded by his father, and Reed must confront him if he has any hope of defeating it.
Reaching David Montgomery is easier said than done, however. While in prison for manslaughter, insanity has taken hold, and now David doesn't remember his own son.
Armed with a list of his father's known associates, Reed will drive out the truth by any means necessary. But some men will give anything to protect their secrets, and they are every bit as ruthless as Reed.
This war isn't over. It's only just begun.

Incredible

A not so great author writes a book with an open ending trying to force readers to buy the next book in the series.
In the latter case the story and the writing are usually not worth it.
Not worth it

If she isn’t going to grow or evolve or listen or move forward in the story with him then GET RID OF HER! She’s an anchor, weighing the whole storyline down, preventing you from being carried along with it. And having to listen to the constant one sided bickering is, as I said, intolerable. I actually already purchased the next several of the series bc they were all on sale for cheap and I thought it would get better after the last book. Nope. I probably am not even going to listen to those. Forget not being worth the money, it’s not worth the time.
Banks is intolerable. I can’t take it anymore

Though the story starts off with quite the bang, it fizzles from there. Hours are spent introducing a series of characters and parallel stories that have absolutely no resolve in this book. And the repetitive theme of the main characters female counterpart, Banks, constantly berating him was overbearing.
Hopefully a great prelude to the book series, where all of the scenes setting is done here.
