About this listen

Even though Brynlee is a hood girl at heart, getting out the hood has always been number one on her to-do list. Now at the age of 25, she has done just that. Big house, dream job, and even engaged to her college boyfriend. She has it all, but she is consistently left wondering, am I really happy? Is my life complete?

After getting into it with her fiancé Troy about the one thing she desires so desperately, she decides that it is time to let her hair down and escape reality for a while. But what she isn't prepared for is the person she finds herself bumping into.

Sawyer McKnight, the neighborhood's bad boy, is now the hood's hottest rapper. He went from the slums to the mansion, but still, he is missing someone to share it with.

In this love tale, you have two people from the same background but different walks of life. Can the two be what the other truly needs or will they just settle for what they're already used to?

Too Good to End Like This

I loved this story, it's so real I could see each scene. I just want to know, how could you leave it as a clif hanger?? When will the next book come out? Great writing, can't wait to hear the outcome. Excellent!

Better than I thought

I enjoyed the first part, I passed it up a couple times but glad I listened to it. I think it was too short but I liked it!!!

Skeptical at first...worth finishing

First things first, the male narrator aint it. It's giving Shakespearian thespian tryna star in a Tubi movie smh. Ana Lynn Wright is tip tier! Story is good but kinda familiar, still will listen to Pt. 2 for the conclusion!

Good story

I was surprised that I enjoyed the story. The only critical thing I'd say is the man's voice who is reading this doesn't match the character at all. He sound like I'd hear him give a weather report on the news as opposed to a bad boy. An absolute mismatch.

Every character had a Story to tell

I loved the story. Maybe less unnecessary cursing. Don’t get me wrong. I definitely don’t mind cursing in the book I read, but there were times when every other word was a curse word

The Betrayal from husband

I find authentic human interactions quite engaging. There were no negative aspects that I observed.

Wow

This was really good. I didn’t expect to like it this much. It seemed like watching the events play out. The characters and their choices of words were so similar to the way people in these situations would converse in real life. The (you can’t have my baby) “With yo dead 🐱 having self” took me out, and the “mouse place where that big ole rat be running around”.(Chuck E. Cheese.🤣
