But when Mike is snowed in with Sarah on the very piece of land they are both fighting for, she can't deny the electricity coursing between them. As for Mike, well, he has no intention of falling in love again after losing his wife in a car crash four years ago - especially not with the one woman who stands between him and his life's work. Perfect winter storm time listening!

What a hoot! The U.S. is seeing the worst winter storms in years, and Audible publishes Shoshanna Evers' Snowed In story! What timing! ;-)

This was a great find for me - 'snowed in' myself at home and looking for a romance taking place in winter. The characters are great as always, though the story could have taken place over a longer period of time.

And being an animal lover, I loved how Sarah the main character takes them everywhere with her. Highly recommended listening!

Snowed in with a Tycoon

This narrator leaves a lot to be desired. It drove me crazy how the narrator lingered the last word of every sentence. It was hard to focus in on the story.

Narrator

I have never turned off an audible book because of the narrator. Even after reading reviews on other books of awful narrators i would still purchase because i have never found one so annoying as the narrator of this book! This is a first for me. I cant tell you how the book is because i haven’t been able to purchase a copy to read, and i cannot listen to another minute of this one.

Certainly not the best book out there

The narrator of this book made it hard to listen to. Reading books for Audiable should be a performance , it should sound like an actual conversation. Half the time it sounds like shes narrating a BBC nature show and the other half sounds like a very breathy dramatic stereotypical romance. Like the voice you would make when making fun of a romance novel. It doesnt do the book any favors at all and makes it hard to like the story.

If you can look past that, the story premise is pretty good but could have used a little tweaking. I dont think she should have allowed him to come back just like that at the end. Make him sweat, this girl has been through hell and back, give her a little backbone. I'm not saying she should have sent him away but make him beg a bit, prove he wants her and their relationship before the "I forgive you". What he did was very hurtful and the way the narrator read the heroine line made her sound like a doormat, on top of the fact that she was acting like a doormat.

Overall, the story was good, it was the ending and narrator that ruined it for me. It could have ended the same HEA but give the girl a little fight, he deserved to be put in his place.

Sweet 'Sexily *Evers* After' story :-)

I liked that this wasn't the usual Shoshanna Evers' storyline (she normally writes more erotica style tales) - this was a sweet story about trying to hang on to wonderful past memories with loved ones long gone, but realizing you can't live in the past and have a happy future with a new special someone.

Loved the use of beautiful upstate New York (my old stomping grounds) :-) and the dogs Sarah cares for with her animal rescue shelter. Very enjoyable characters with angst and the right touch of humor mixed in.

The narrator is pretty awful

I haven’t finished the book yet, I actually haven’t made in past the first chapter yet but the narrator raises the question as to how she got a job as a narrator. She reads as if she lacks knowledge on proper grammar, every word is it’s own sentence. Perhaps it is just a stylistic choice but her voice sounds as if she is effecting a male persona even when the female character is talking which is more than a little confusing at times.

Poor narration

Story was ok. Narrator was hard to listen to, very flat and void of emotion monotone

Decent story, narrator ruins it

The other reviews about the narrator are true. She has a weird lilt at the end of every sentence that makes everything sound like a question. Her reading is so off that it kept throwing me out of the story. I'll be avoiding Christine Padovan in the future.
The story is a pretty simple, predictable, slightly ridiculous romance with a HEA.

Narration was Bad

Great story but the Narrator Sucked! Monotone throughout the book! I did tolerate it only because of the Story.
To Author, How about a do over with a better narrator. it makes a big difference when listening.

Narrator

I enjoyed the story but the narrator was very boring, which made it very hard to listen to. There were also some parts that were kinda hard to listen to because of the wording.
