Excellent Audiobook

The case studies were very relatable. I almost felt like I was one of them. This book did a great job at showing how prevalent mental disorders can be. I didn’t realize how many people have anxiety.

Suggested exercises were useful

This was definitely worth the $7. I didn’t listen to the entire audiobook yet, as I am familiar with the science and history of social anxiety, but the exercises were really helpful and easy to implement.

I don't think writer of this book ever dealt with

All this book does is chastise people with social anxiety as if it's something you make up in your head and that group therapy is the answer to it. It's more than that. It's partial that triggers it. But the food that we eat, the water that we drink. All effects our nervous system. Something like excitement can trigger anxiety, it's not always something negative. By the perspective of this book it clear shows the person never had it. It's a bit insulting.

Poor Narrator

I bought the book because I have anxiety. The narrator spoke in an aggressive, fast, and blunt way. People with anxiety need someone to help them feel calmer and more confident. By the end of the second chapter I felt stressed and couldn’t focus on what the book was trying to get across. How can someone who treats people with different types of anxiety be so dense.
