Publisher's summary

The opposite of faith is not doubt, it's certainty.

We cannot talk about God with any degree of certainty, because God is, by definition, a being who transcends imagination, expectation, and comprehension. What we know is this: There is more of God to know than any of us will ever fully know in this life. So, let's begin by embracing the mystery of Christ to discover the endlessly unfolding beauty of uncertainty.

More than I expected!

This book exceeded my expectations! It was an easy listen and filled with so many thought provoking statements that I even ordered a paperback copy. Sola Mysterium is for those who find themselves questioning their beliefs. I would also recommend this to anyone who has dealt with judgment, both in and out of the church. With both personal stories and scientific research, the authors really helped me engage thoughts beyond what I was ever taught. I have come to a closer understanding of what the mind of Christ is not and because of that I feel a freedom to be ok with not always knowing. Every moment can be a moment filled with awe and wonder, this book helped me to be grateful for that childlike wonder!

Amazing

This book will open your mind and you will learn something new. It will change your life. It really helps you to answer questions that you have always felt in your heart. Recommended for anyone who wants to realize how truly loved you are and how much God loves you.
Sounds super cheesy, but this may be the day “you were blind but now you see.”

Highly recommended for Disillusioned Christians

Finally, a Christian writing that gets to the heart of Jesus' teaching. If this Christian based viewpoint had been presented when I was 16 I would likely have stayed a professing member of the church. Instead, 55 years ago, I became an early adherent to what is now called spiritual but not religious.

I have no regrets about the choice I made. But, had there been a Christian teacher like the author here my journey through life experiences would have been much different, although I can say the resulting worldview would have been much the same.

So, if you are among those who have recently or even decades ago left organized Christianity behind but now feel a pull to return to your spiritual roots. this book is for you. I would also highly recommend it for those of you who are actively looking for additional spiritual practice, guidance, and insights to help light the way.

I'm 71 now and I've discovered the joy of coming home. And now I feel the blessings of being alive at a time when it appears Christianity is knocking at the door once again.
