About this listen

Twenty-something Robbie Ivy wants to keep her life as simple and commitment-free as possible. Who needs a high-pressure career, a relationship, or a family anyway?

Robbie's life gets inextricably complicated when her estranged father shows up with a shocking revelation about two teenage girls who disappeared in South Beach. One of the missing girls is Robbie's sister, Kate - a sister Robbie never knew existed. Unwilling to reestablish family ties, Robbie is hesitant to get involved - until the body of her sister's friend washes up in Indian Creek. Desperate to find her missing sister, Robbie immerses herself in the unfamiliar world to which Kate may have fallen prey: the sexy, sizzling South Beach club scene.

Swept up in a corrupt, destructive society, Robbie searches for a cold-blooded killer in the hottest South Beach hotspots. But in this see-and-be-seen world, everyone is dressed to kill, people are dying for a chance to get beyond the velvet rope and someone is watching.

Robbie may have to choose between saving her stepsister - and saving herself.

Thrilling & entertaining!

What made the experience of listening to Someone's Watching the most enjoyable?

I love listening to an audiobook that steers me to take the long way home from work or a trip, just so I can listen to more of the story. This book did exactly that! I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what will happen next. Lots of interesting twists in the story that more than held my interest. What a thriller! This is my first book by this author, and I will be checking for more of the author's audiobooks.

Have you listened to any of Heidi Baker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I believe this is one of Heidi's best! Heidi's performance added to the intensity of the story. I will definitely be listening to more of her audiobooks.

Any additional comments?

Highly recommend

Held my interest

Is there anything you would change about this book?

At times I felt the story was unbelievable in that these young people seemed caught up in the mystery one minute but more concerned in their own lives the next. However, I was able to overlook these scenes and allow creative license for the writer.

If you’ve listened to books by Sharon Potts before, how does this one compare?

This was my first read.

Did Heidi Baker do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

She did an okay job. I didn't have trouble following which character was speaking, and that makes a difference in a story.

Did Someone's Watching inspire you to do anything?

Not really, but I wasn't looking for that. When I read I'm looking to be entertained and nothing more.

Any additional comments?

It was a good story with strong narration. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another one by this author or reader.
