About this listen

Lilan Rossi learned years ago not to trust her own judgement where love is concerned. Now a single mom running a one-woman business, she's more certain than ever that she can't take a risk on romance. She's just about convinced herself she's perfectly happy as long as she holds onto the basics: her daughter, teatime, and helping her two best friends put on her hometown's annual Christmas show.

Despite being Hollywood's golden boy, Bodhi James has been striking out in the game of love for as long as he can remember. But even his career can only sustain him so long. Desperate for a timeout from the craziness of fame, he travels to the small town of Blueshadow to reunite with an old college friend on a project sure to remind him why he fell in love with acting in the first place - the annual Christmas show.

When Lilan and Bodhi cross paths, the attraction is instant, but it may take a Christmas miracle to improve his luck in love and overcome her fears of it.

Bohdi

This is a sweet, whole-some romance. I found it entertaining. Love she portrayed Bodhi as an average guy, with his own insecurities, despite being a famous actor.
Lilan is a single mom who works hard and always puts her child’s needs first. The characters are real and people you can identify with. Good story line. Good narration.

Story was better than the narration.

I listened to the audio version of this book. I had a little trouble getting into this story of Lilan and Bodhi. I think my biggest problem was the breathy way in which the narrator presented the story. It was just really a huge distraction for me. Other than that, the characters were fun and likable. The plot was a great Christmas romance and family oriented story.
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio book. All thoughts are my own.

Sometimes It Happens Here: A Christmas Romance by K.S. Thomas. I enjoyed this story and thought Lilan and Bodhi made a great match. Sweet, mild holiday romance with small town feel.

Loved this story

I love this story and narration and will be listening again. The characters are really brought to life and you feel like you are part of the story. You know a story is well done when you leave with that feeling. The story is heartfelt, fun, sad, and frustrating - all the things a good book should be.

Small town Romance

This is a small town sweet holiday romance. Lilan is the hometown girl who is widowed and has a daughter. The town holds a lot of resentment for how her husband died. Bodhi is a Hollywood actor and comes to visit a mutual friend of Lilan's. Bodhi wants to pursue a relationship with Lilan but she's not going to make it easy. Al the friends are working on a Christmas play together. I think Lilan has a lot of guilt to get over before she can really give Bodhi a chance.
