Publisher's summary

The tears of the ocean. The heart of the flame.

Lochlann Wilde is preparing for his final challenge: entering the Oriel of Fire, the most dangerous of the elemental dimensions. Acquiring the essence of fire will score him another powerful guardian, as well as complete Aphrodite’s amulet.

But the world outside the oriel has its own challenges. Sylvain has discovered something difficult about his heritage. Aphrodite also keeps dropping unsettling hints about Locke’s true nature.

Most pressing of all is the mystery of the parchment that cursed Queen Aurelia to begin with, the only clue that may lead to the truth about the Withering. Who is behind it? Why did they engineer the plague?

And how can Locke and Sylvain stop them from infecting the cosmos?

More please

I feel like so many questions have been answered but still I have no idea what to expect from the rest of the story. I really love these books and hate that the next one isn’t out yet.

Holy Plot Twist!

There were quite a few plot twists in here. If you have followed the series, I won't ruin it for you, but the last one? Get your Kleenex ready. You'll need it.

We have the usual boy and boyfriend on an adventure to fulfill a quest, but the unexpectedness of the secondary characters makes it even more fun. 2 words- Sachel Ember. They're worth it.

Greg, as always, is a master narrator. I have loved him since I found him with Rhys Ford and am still a huge fan of them. I can't wait to see what Nazri comes up with next. It's going to be good!

hard truths

Locke and Sylvain are on to the next Oriel to obtain another guardian and complete the quest. The cast of characters is so fun. Each character fully realized and adds to the story. Oh Aphrodite. So wily and maddening. Of course she adds some mystery and nudges for them to search for answers they didn’t even have the questions to, revealing some hard to hear truths. I feel like I can’t say enough great things about Greg Boudreaux and his narrations. He unbelievable talented and IMO shines the most in these paranormal books.

Book 4 of amazing relationships

Loved this next book continuing the story between a summoner and his friends. Voices for each character are well done and the story is much more than it originally seemed with new twists and turns that of course leave you wanting the next book. If you like a funny but adventurous story with a gay central character then I don't see how you could be dissatisfied.

Only complaint is it is too short

I love this series. It’s snarky and doesn’t take the storyline to serious, but it is also an enjoy smutty ride all the same. I just wish it was longer.

Surprises, surprises

In this installment of Arcane Hearts, our boys each discover surprising bittersweet facts about their history. They face the Oriel of Fire where they are joined by two frenemies and make a new friend while they obtain the last elemental gem. They find a willing elemental to read the mysterious note to uncover more disturbing clues about the Withering. Now all four elements are collected, Aphrodite’s reward remains to be awarded. The root of the Withering still needs to be discovered. Loose ends abound to be resolved in the final installment of the series.

This installment was slower paced, but more emotional, than other books in this series. I am waiting impatiently for the next book. It will be difficult to let these boys go at the end!

Greg Boudreaux does a wonderful job with the narration. His voicing of Sylvan is soooo deep and manly.

as always

I really love this fantasy novel. And the writer has just such a flare for a Homo erotic fantasy book. The entire collection is just wonderful
