Publisher's summary

Weapons that manifest with a thought! Hell yes.

Convict damsels causing distress. Damn right.

Level up alien tech exo-suits.

Kicking a-- matters. Among interplanetary colonization, a rouge forms an unlikely alliance with a horde of female convicts demonstrating incredible abilities.

In a race against time, they will set out to find themselves amid an impending Galactic Crises and learn advanced alien technology is most certainly indistinguishable from magic.

Nehalem, a former Space ExoKnight, whom is now a drifter with a haunted past is at the helm on their epic adventure.

Warning: This audiobook contains adult themes, a harem of women, and filled to the brim with zany characters. This genre-bending sci-fi series contains enough pulse-pounding peril to take your money, punch you in the face, and leave you with flowers.

Gave it a try but should've listened 2 the review

Not good, after reading the summary I thought it would follow the MC, Nehalem but I was wrong. He is the main focus but the story follows multiple characters and given how short the book is, it takes away from the devoplment of the characters.

The narration is not terrible but if you can't do women's voices should stick to not even attempting it. A poor manly woman's voice is worst then a man simply narrating.

Spoliers,

Multiple parts of the story simply did make sense. For example one of the woman is making an advance towards the MC and he is worried about getting involved with fellow soldiers but they are not soldiers but survivors from a nuclear explosion denoted by their employer. Secondly there are already 2 couples out of 6 people with cheating going on. Or in other words all but the MC is getting action.

They are suppose to be trapped for at least a year but suddenly they are out, working for those who tried to kill them to attack a group of aliens who also attacked them. I just don't understand how they got out so quickly and why work for those who attempted to kill you. Additionally the MC is out for revenge for who killed his brother but the person responsible is also the lead scientist, the MC"s ex girlfriend and the company he is working for.

I simply don't understand.

To the harem aspect, it's non existent. There is a few girl on girl scenes which are those cheating on thier partners. The MC does not physically have any actions but does in a weird dream state with his ex. The potential for a harem is their but honestly if I was the MC I would get as far away from these women as fast as possible.

Honestly I feel zero connection with any of the characters and I won't be continuing this series.

I don't recommend

starting with the narrator. The gentleman did a good job the male characters but his take on the female characters was rough to say the least. there were a number of issues with the editing. Whoever was responsible for that job did not remove a number of second takes and stumbles. as for the story it is in large part incongruous. it jumps all over the place with little to no explanation as to why the characters make the decisions they do or what's going on or how much time has passed. there is a prequel in ebook form that might help with clearing up the first three hours of this book but I definitely would not recommend wasting your time with the series even taking into account the typical shakiness that can accompany a first entry to a series. lastly the story ends on a cliffhanger and with the number and type of reviews it's not likely that there will be a sequel.

I cant listen to this.

I've only listened to this and the narrator needs a female co-narrator for this kind of story and it lowered my opinion of this book so I'm returning it. his female narration is just wrong.
