About this listen

The Harts are a family of San Francisco firefighters. Their family motto is: Heart comes first.

Heartbreaker Connor Hart, one of the youngest fire chiefs in the country, is planning on marrying Dr. Elaine Woo, a woman who pretended to cheat on him with his best friend many years ago. She bought him a Dalmatian puppy, he gave her a ring—and the women of San Francisco are about to lose their most eligible bachelor.

Artist and poet Nadine Woo is down on her luck. The cast-off half-sister of Dr. Elaine Woo, she doesn’t measure up, according to her strict and distant father. When Nadine and her mother are about to be evicted from their apartment, she gets an interesting offer from her sister. Seems she’s in need of a little help concerning her relationship with Fire Chief Connor Hart.

As soon as Nadine meets Connor, she knows she’s in for a rough ride. Connor is the fireman who rescued her and her little gray kitten, and she’s never forgotten how safe she felt in his arms. When Nadine takes her sister’s place at a spring fling weekend with Connor, love ignites, and there’s no going back. Can a spunky little kitty show Connor and Nadine that doing the wrong thing is sometimes right, especially when it comes to love?

The Hart Family has my heart

I have been waiting to listen to Connor's story and what a treat this one is! In the previous books, Connor has always been a little aloof, always keeping his heart guarded and only opening for the return of Elaine. At the end of book 2, these two are back together, but is it really true love? Now with Elaine's father looking to marry her best friend, a plan is concocted with her siblings, and Nadine, her half sister comes into play. The future is never what you expect and this has never been so true as in this book. Rachelle Ayala has thrown a wrench into the story with a little mystery thickening the plot and making us wonder which family members are trustworthy! I was thoroughly engaged in the story, love the addition of the pets(Grayheart was so lovable as well as the return of Cinder) and enjoyed meeting up with Connor's friends and relatives again. Add in some firefighting and crazy family dynamics and we have another wonderful installment of this series.

Jennifer Groberg continues the narration of this series, and she has become the Hart family voice for me. I loved it!

A good addition to the series

This story in the Hart Family series is a bit more complex and with more twist and turns than the previous ones.
Connor Hart is the Fire Chief whose on , off and back on again relationship with doctor Elaine Woo has spanned over 10 years . She is a workaholic with numerous agendas, and a bit self-centered. Her half sister, Nadine, is a free spiritws artist, unemployed and with a heart of gold.
She meets Connor by accident and is immediately attracted to him. When she finds out who he is engaged to, she is devastated until Elaine asks for a favor that will have Nadine spending time with Connor.
When feelings come out and new plans are made, the world around them starts to work against them.
It’s a story filled with family dynamics, some good in the form of the Hart family , others not so good, as is the case of the Woo family. It’s also a story filled with whodunit, misunderstanding, manipulation and lies.
Will Nadine and Connor find their HEA, or will fate once again keep them apart?
This one is a good addition to the series.
Once again, the narrator did a very good job with all the various voices.

I haven't read/listened to a story quite like this one. The overall concept is good. Most of the characters have been developing since the series began. The new characters left something to be desired, but they were what they were supposed to be. What I didn't appreciate was all the cheating, scheming and lieing. I realize it goes on but it isn't right and I don't generally choose to read about it in my down time.

Jennifer Groberg seems to get better and better.

I recieved a free Audible copy of this story in exchange for a honest review.

There's a lot going on in this book!

This is another installment of the books about the Hart family. This one features Connor Hart and half sisters. Connor is engaged to one and then falls for the other. It's a mess. Talk about screwed up family dynamics! The family of those two women is just a big old mess. This book is just packed with all sorts of things going on. There is the screwed up legitimate family, the illegitimate family, disaster after disaster, romance, a break up, pets escaping, poetry and painting and people trying to hurt others. It's busy in this book!
I listened to the audio book narrated by Jennifer Groberg. She did a good job with it.

spring fling kitty

Jennifer Groberg does a nice narration and brings a great story to life. This is one of my favorite series and I loved this book even more with the narration.

Connor Hart a young Fire Chief is about to marry his childhood sweetheart Elaine Woo, who gave up on their relationship in College to become a doctor. Now she is back and claiming Connor.
Nadine Woo, Elaine's half sister from her Father's mistress is a free-spirited artist. She met Connor one day when he rescued her and her Fiesty Kitty Greyheart. She feels connected to him immediately...until she finds out he is her sister's fiance and her sister wants her to be their surrogate.
Thier Father suddenly decides to divorce Elaine's mom and kick Nadine and her mom out of their apartment for Elaine's best friend, a young doctor. Schemes abound among Elaine, Nadine, and their brother to break them up.

I loved this story. There is a lot going on and i was surprised at all the drama and twists. Just when you think you have things figured out...Bam! another twist! There is not on-page sex, so the story is sweet and clean.
I loved Nadine and her free-spirited ways. I also liked the poetry in the story and how the meanings fit each situation, almost like a premonition.
If you like sweet, clean romance with lots of twists and drama, Sexy firefighters and sweet artists you will love this book. I highly recommend this book( and the other two Hart stories) for some fun summer reading.

Eagerly awaiting the next in series!

Spring Fling Kitty: The Hart Family: Have a Hart, Book 3 by Rachelle Ayala, narrated by Jennifer Groberg is a sweet romance that leaves you believing in the power of love. I've followed this series, as well as the others written by Rachelle Ayala. I tend to lean more toward the sweet romance listens because they are inspirational and they make me happy. Let's face it, our world today is not always filled with happy events, and too many times I find myself sad or heart-broken over my own or someone else's loss or hardship. Rachelle Ayala's writing has a way of filling the void and helping me find balance between the good and bad, the happy and sad, & the ups and downs in which life presents us.

This does not mean, however, that all is perfect in the world of the Hart family, friends, and acquaintances! This is not a fairy-tale filled with princesses and castles. These are real people in real-life situations. The same way life throws us for a loop, it does the same with these loveable characters...well, most of them are loveable. There is quite a bit of action, wonder, and emotion throughout this audiobook! You will not be able to stop listening, and if you're anything like me, you'll more than likely be late to a planned event because you will be dying to know what happens next! At least you'll arrive with a smile...right?!

The narration by Jennifer Groberg is right on. She does a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. Her voice, inflection, pace, and volume are perfect. I think all listeners will enjoy her performance and agree that she is the perfect match for this series/book.

I rate Spring Fling Kitty: The Hart Family: Have a Hart, Book 3 by Rachelle Ayala, narrated by Jennifer Groberg 5/5 stars across the board. I recommend it to those who like romances, without the steamy details, and to those who love animals, mainly kitties! :-) I'm looking forward to the next in series! I'll be first in line when it releases on audio!

Thank you for reading my review. I hope it was helpful. :-)

Sibling rivalry at its best...or worst...

Connor Hart is the oldest of the Hart siblings, and one of the youngest fire chiefs in the country. He's also finally engaged to his hs sweetheart, Dr. Elaine Woo, and all is right in his world. That is, until one kitty in need of rescuing, leads Connor to its owner, Nadine, and he is smitten. Connor soon learns that Nadine is the half sister of Elaine and things get complicated really fast!!! Will Connor and Nadine be able to ignore the sparks between them and pretend that all is well? I must say that when we were introduced to Elaine in one of the earlier books, I felt some sympathy towards her...in this book? Not so much! Elaine is driven, snobbish and bossy as he!!...Overall, the story was great and I loved the ending...not telling which sister was Connor's final choice...you will have to read to find out...

Love Can Be Blind

I enjoyed book three of "The Hart Family" series as much as the first two books. Connor Hart was in love with his teenage sweetheart, Dr. Elaine Woo, for years, so why were there sparks when he first met Elaine's half-sister, Nadine? I liked all the unexpected twists on Connor's and Nadine's bumpy path to love. The characters were fascinating. I enjoyed the descriptive poems which inspired the paintings. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Jennifer Groberg's narration was great, and her performance gave the characters their own voices. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review which included my opinions.
