Cute Mystery with an excellent narrator

This is a cute mystery story. The characters were fun and well developed. The narrator did a very good job of keeping the voices different and the action going. This was a short story, which is the perfect thing to listen to in the car while running errands. It was quite entertaining, and had my attention held throughout. I loved it.

excellent

I received a free code to listen to this book and I did so willingly

Another superb example of the best short stories. Aggie's antics is by far the best way to make someone relax and enjoy a good laugh

Reminiscent of Murder She Wrote

This is a delightful short mystery, reminiscent of the wonderful Angela Lansbury series, Murder She Wrote. The narration is excellent, Ms Ayotte’s rendition of the characters is diverse and each character is colorfully unique in their own right. She gives the story a steady heartbeat and entices the listener to keep listening! Thoroughly enjoyable listen!

Witty and Entertaining

This short story is witty and quirky. Aggie, Betty and Roger are dysfunctional friends. Aggie likes to solve mysteries, Betty is on the hunt for husband #4, and Roger is a interior designer who is full of himself. They check out a new bakery and find a mystery on their hands. Christin Ayotte narrates well.

Roommates are not a good idea!

After the fire in Aggie's condo and the resulting smoke damage in Betty's connected condo, Roger insists that both stay with him while everything is being replaced/repaired. Unfortunately, familiarity breeds contempt and they are all getting on each other's nerves. Aggie decides she needs a gluten free cupcake and goes to the newest bakery in town to get away. Next thing she knows, Betty and Roger have climbed in her car. When they arrive, they meet a past client of Roger's and something just doesn't feel right about them. Roger and Aggie decide to investigate where Roger literally loses his pants!
This one made me laugh and cringe at the same time. I know what it's like to spend too much time with someone when used to living alone. Aggie, I feel your pain!!
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and Christin Ayotte does a great job with the characters, accents and alll!
I highly recommend!

It was interesting

The story was typical but the characters were not. I enjoyed the idiosyncrasies of each one. That is what made the book good

Aggie & friends strike again!

"Don't let your pants die in vain." This is just one of the many LOL lines in this short story. Aggie Underhill and her friends are once again drawn into a mystery. Of course, there are plenty of pithy comments and high jinks along the way.

I would classify this as a NSFW book because you will be laughing hard enough to distract your co-workers! I nearly had to stop my elliptical trainer because I was afraid I would fall off from laughing so hard. I love the characters in this book and the author does a great job in writing a short story with plenty of fun, just enough mystery and great characters. I hope that Ms. Hollstein continues to write more of Aggie's adventures because they are my favorite form of reading entertainment.

The narrator's performance was perfect and even her male voices were great. A lot of female narrators just can't pull off the male voices, but Ms. Ayotte's were great. I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book by the author and chose to review it.

Entertaining short story

I love the narrator! She is easy to listen to and does a great job with multiple character voices. It was easy to tell who was speaking by the changes in her dialect and cadence. It’s a fun short story, the first I’ve heard in this series. I’m now curious to listen to the others.
