Watch out for the Assassin’s Claws....

Gifflet “Gib” Moreno is a paid killer, just like his four brothers. It’s the family business - they fight together, they die together. Whether they’re working as a group or alone, they are a tight unit who protect their own.

As the introverted brother who’s known for watching from the shadows and listening more than he talks, Gib is the one sent on a discrete assignment. His mission: Follow a blackmarket importer, learn what he knows about the plot afoot to reveal the secret existence of shifters...then kill him.

HRH Darius Aurea, prince of the island nation of Aurelia is in town to do what he does best: Party. The last thing he expects is to have a blast from his past show up with claims that he has a son. And that his alleged son has been kidnapped.

A bungled rescue attempt finds Darius also imprisoned and it falls on Gib to save the day. Not only the day, but also his...mate? The stealthy assassin is far from thrilled to find his true mate is someone as loud and well-known as HRH Prince Partypants.

This is the second book in the Assassin’s Claws series. Note: While mpreg exists in this world, we won’t have a birth in every book. This book contains killer cats, ninja bunnies and a spoiled prince who’ll need to alpha up if he wants to keep his man. Get ready for naughty-knotty fun and low-ball humor as only Susi Hawke can provide.

I really enjoyed iy

I love Moreno brothers! This is the story of Gib who has been tasked in taking out a real POS. He runs into his mate, who is a prince & known as Prince Partypants because he is basically a man whore. Darius was pretty wasted when he meets his mate & really doesn't remember it, but knows something happens. About this time, he finds out that his ex-fiance who left him standing at the alter about 8 years ago, was keeping a huge secret from him, he is a father. She has also passed away several years ago & his son is being raised by her sister. Turns out that the boy was kidnapped & she comes to Darius to help get him back. She was a nasty person & am glad she wasn't around long. So here Darius goes off to rescue his son right in the middle of Gib's operation & gets kidnapped as well. We have the rescue of Darius & his son but Darius his whisked back to his homeland on his father's orders and Gib ends up with the boy until they can get back together. I had a hard time with the child as he was written a lot older than 8 years old. He speaks & acts more like a teenager. I loved that even though Gib is the only omega in the group of brothers but is just as bada$$ as the rest. I loved that there was more to Darius then met the eye.

A Prince With An Agenda

With Gib off on a solo mission, he comes across a renowned partying Prince.
When he smells his mate, he cannot believe who it is.
But, there is more to his mission than meets the eye and his Prince becomes embroiled into it.
Into it is added a secret child and a mate bond that cannot be denied.
The action, gore and drama in this book is well paced, the storyline engaging and the characters well developed. It was funny to see the bunnies make an appearance again.
I loved how Darius had so many layers to him and revealed his secrets agendas to Gib.
The bonds all three of them form as a family was lovely to see.

The narration was well done and each character was authentic.

Can I say cutest kid ever!

This is a fun paranormal series. It has unique shifters and lots of humor.
This is book 2 but stands pretty well on its own.
This is Gib's story. He is sent to kill a really bad man that is into trafficking after extracting information first. He meets a prince known as prince party pants and finds out he is his mate. Darius this playboy prince is very drunk and barely remembers Gib, thinking it was an erotic dream. Then he is thrown into the drama of not only finding out Gib is real, but also that he has a son by his ex-fiance that is now deceased.
Lots of stuff rolled in one and the story keeps you chuckling and intrigued. Now I have to admit where Gib and Darius are ok characters... Darius' son he didn't know he has stolen the story. He is probably one of the cutest kids ever but I think Kenneth Obi makes him even cuter and funner than just reading the book. This kid really kicks butt! Kenneth does give all the character unique voices and though Darius accent is a bit draculish and cheesy it just fits the story.
If you like shifters, assassins, true mates, and cute kids this is for you!

Stand Out-STANDS OUT

This story by Susi Hawke, along with the performance by Kenneth Obi is AMAZING. Honestly I love all the shifter series from this author, but brought to life by K. Obi just makes it worth every penny and every second. The acting and the voices given to the characters are fun and fantastic. I highly recommend this to all listeners and Hawke fans. Definitely nice to be able to listen/read the first of the series to get to know a little background for the Moreno family-but could totally be standalone. I just love it all.

A great sequel!

I read this book before listening so I knew I liked the story already but hearing it was so much better. I loved the way Obi did the voices and I was very happy with the subtle sound effects. The story itself was a good one and I really enjoyed the way listening made the characters that much more real. I love Sacha and his sassiness and Obi portrayed that perfectly. If you're a fan of Susi's books (and you really should be) then I definitely recommend this audio.

Great

This was a great addition to the series. This is book two in the series and I loved the characters. I haven’t listened to book one yet but it is on my wishlist. Can’t wait for more.
