Publisher's summary

After an EMP destroys the nation's power grid, a family's strength is put to the test.

With food and water in short supply, people scramble to secure resources. As the crisis unfolds, one family seeks sanctuary at a ranch on the city's outskirts. For Gabby, the only thing worse than failing to reach the ranch is failing to protect her family in this dangerous post-EMP world.

The Last Orchard

Charlie Decker traveled to Seattle to acquire a much needed loan for his family’s Orchard. After a dozen requests, Charlie is forced to head home empty handed. But his plans are derailed after an unexpected attack on the city renders all electronics useless. No cars. No phones. Everything about the modern world has been destroyed. And that’s when the chaos begins.

Hideaway

Losing power was only the beginning, now one couple must work together to survive

James and Marla Weller are preparing for a relaxing weekend, when an unexpected blackout spreads far beyond their St. Louis suburb and starts a devastating chain reaction. But the disabled power grid was only the beginning of a national nightmare as their vehicles and cell phones won’t function either. A series of building explosions rock downtown, leading to a mandatory evacuation. Amid the chaos, the young couple must make a decision on where to go. A possible solution emerges when a self-proclaimed survivalist offers them refuge in his remote cabin far from the city and away from the chaos. But James and Marla soon discover that survival isn’t as clear as they think, and that escape can lead to dangers all its own.

the second series in this compilation is awful.

I've start listened to a couple of different books that have the same ridiculous plot line. an EMP where terrorists are attacking moments after the EMP. why would you put a large amount of people In Harm's Way to attack when the EMP will likely kill 80 to 90% of the population? if you were going to send in groups to attack it would be after the first few months when the EMP has wreaked its Havoc. also the way this book is written at presumes tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of terrorists already in the us, already armed, and ready to go the instant the EMP hits, that's total bs.

Worst EMP Thriller Yet

The plots and story lines are not boring and uninteresting. The reader is hard to listen to and way too dramatic. I won’t purchase any more titles read by her.

Theses books, simply put, awful.

Honestly, I should have given these back to Audible and asked for my credit back. I really can't tell you why I didn't, other than I like to finish things that I start, then I'd feel like a cheat listening to them and wanting my money back..... bur they were hard to finish. the last two books were the best of the bunch but that still doesn't mean good, or even mediocre. I understand some folks like different stuff, but, the author obviously had no clue about firearms, such as when he repeatedly called one of the protagonists guns a "38 Magnum". There is no such thing, There are multiple 38 caliber pistols but no "magnum" that is where the 357 magnum comes in. Nit-picky maybe but there were a lot of errors in firearms, tactics, etc. and in this genre those are pretty inexcusable mistakes, a lot of guys like me who went to war as infantrymen, etc. find that very vexing and ruins the story. The books were narrated by a female, a strange choice as it is mostly a male listener genre and most of the protagonists were male. also the books seemed to be written by a female, though I believe the author was male. The attitudes, reactions, etc. were very soft hearted. someone like me or an individual who will survive events described in this genre, world as we know it ending events, will not be soft hearted, they can't be or they will be dead. Sorry to leave such a scathing review on a project that someone put so much time and effort into, and thank you author for bringing attention to the EMP threat to America and the world, but I couldn't in good conscience recommend your books.
