Wonderful but sad...

I found the story fascinating and sad. It was like old home week when it came to the characters I had come to know and love over the years. Like with real life all good things must have a beginning and an end. Thus many of my old friends here that I have grown to care for deeply had to exit stage left. I shall mourn their loss yet thank them for having been in my life for so very long.

The narrator is always awesome. I enjoyed this book as well as the first, but there were a couple of storyline I didnt care for. Roe and Quark, then Nog getting killed.

absolutely awesome

so is someone who has read all of the Star Wars Legends books.. I picked up book one of Star Trek coda a while ago and listen to it here on Audible and I was astounded. I honestly wish they had done something like this with Star Wars Legends. this is awesome and it makes me happy book two is just as good as book one it's an excellent series and I definitely recommend it to anyone who's appreciative of Star Trek. ironically this is the first Star Trek novel series I've listen to on Audible and I can definitely say it won't be my last.
job well done to all the people who worked so hard to make this series. thank you

Intense, Emotional, Truly Epic

I can't get enough of this trilogy. It's clear the authors not only know their stuff but truly love this universe as much as anyone can. The emotion behind the words is evident in every bit. The only negative is that it ends.

The Ultimate Penultimate

This story was fully engaging through the entire novel to the point where I literally couldn't bring myself to stop listening it until it was finished! The author in his afterward says that the working title for the story was "Wormhole Death Canon," and it certainly lived up to that name in more ways than one as the casualties and the stakes were raised to a higher level than ever before!
I don't want to spoil anything, but let's just say there's a very enjoyable sequence in the story about 1/3 to 1/2 way through where Picard pulls a Kirk with a Jack Sparrow twist that planted a big grin on my face for the whole part! I also love that they brought in the Deep Space Nine gang as that is my favorite Star Trek series, and that they played a major role in the climax...though that resulted in many years shed.
I thoroughly recommend this book and it's predecessor, and I am greatly anticipating the Final Curtain for the Star Trek Novelverse in next months finale!

Building the Crescendo!

Star Trek: Coda Book 2 does not disappoint! The author, James Swallow, picks up the literary baton and runs with all his might! Surprises abound and the plot thickens. I was thoroughly impressed with the writing, characterization, and changing tones of the story. Book 2 was, in some ways, even better than Book 1 — and I loved Book 1!

The narrator, Robert Petkoff, continues to impress as well. Familiar characters had familiar voices and it was very welcome. A real tour de force. It must be a challenge to keep them all distinct and consistent, but Petkoff manages deftly.

Highly recommended, along with Coda Book 1.

An exciting sequel! Can't wait for third!

This is definitely Trek, pure and simple. The effects on some of the characters (sorry no spoilers) I'm not sure about, but overall it makes sense. There is definitely some funny elements that are totally in character from some old favorites.

The afterwords from the authors are helpful, but disappointing also.

One negative i have is context from 4 character's interactions. Not sure what stories they happen in.
