About this listen

An all-new novel based upon the explosive Star Trek TV series!

No one in the history of histories has lost more than Philippa Georgiou, ruler of the Terran Empire. Forced to take refuge in the Federation’s universe, she bides her time until Section 31, a rogue spy force within Starfleet, offers her a chance to work as their agent. She has no intention of serving under anyone else, of course; her only interest is escape.

But when a young Trill, Emony Dax, discovers a powerful interstellar menace, Georgiou recognizes it as a superweapon that escaped her grasp in her own universe. Escorted by a team sent by an untrusting Federation to watch over her, the emperor journeys to a region forbidden to travelers. But will what she finds there end the threat - or give “Agent Georgiou” the means to create her old empire anew?

Die Standing

John Jackson Miller makes me wish I enjoyed Star Trek Discovery. His storytelling here is flawless and masterful. I don’t know the characters but Finagin, Dax, and Georgio are fascinating.
January Lavoy is a delight as always. This is a cross universe thriller and the Mirror Universe is always a fun.

Great story movie worthy

Well conceived story for the Star Trek Discovery Universe. Good back story on a most likable emperor turned into a Section 31 Secret Agent.

Great Story Fabulous Narrator

This story really captured the essence of the Terran Georgiou. It's very well crafted and highly engaging. What makes it all the more so is the extremely talented January Lavoy! She perfectly captures the voices of the characters we know and love. She also gives the aliens unique voices. If I were the casting director, she would be narrating quite a few Star Trek novels. I can't wait to hear more of her!

Wonderful! Answers questions I've had for years..

Pay close attention to the character names, especially in the beginning. This story will tie together in ways you never thought possible.

Really great book

I really like all the characters and I'm hoping to see them in the future Star Trek Series. This was a pretty good look at Section 31 but I still want more.

Another Universe to Conquer

Filipa is empress in bones, no matter the universe. Dax and Finigan fly close beside to follow, tame, steer, and inspire. The empress is out to find a weapon she lost and start a new empire, what she finds is better. Enjoy the ride, but keep your eyes on Filipa Gorgoe!
