Narrated by Lena Lee and Alexander Neal, this dual narration brought Evie and Rhett’s story to life in such a delightful way. Lena’s soft, heartwarming tone was perfect for Evie’s inner monologue (especially those adorable moments of awkwardness). And Alexander Neal? That southern drawl? Ma’am, Rhett Darlington could read me the major league baseball rulebook and I’d still swoon. Their chemistry wasn’t just on-page—it was in every whispered word and flirty exchange.

Rhett is every southern baseball boy fantasy rolled into one—tattoos, heart of gold, and a puppy snuggle monster too. Together, they’re the definition of slow burn meets steam. And while this romance might’ve started as a “keep it secret, keep it casual” deal, there’s nothing casual about Rhett’s sweet, possessive energy.

This story had me grinning like a fool and wishing I could go see a real Tridents game.

Steal A Kiss is book #4 in the Vancouver Tridents sports romance series. Evie is done with grad school and out of student housing. She intends to stay with her brother Kai, but with the stray puppy she rescues, his building doesn't allow pets. Enter Rhett Darlington, the Southern Charmer, her brother's best friend...and the target of her secret crush since the day she met him. This was such a wonderful addition to the series...secret relationship, friends-to-lovers, best friend's sister, sports romance, a little angst, cute puppy antics, and eventually some steamy scenes!! Binged it and loved it! This series is definitely not to be missed.

The dual narration was so good! Alexander Neal and Lena Lee are both new narrators for me and I hope to hear more from them in the future. They gave us the angst, the passion, the humor...really enjoyed their performance. 5/5 stars!!

Okay, I devoured this in one sitting. It’s sweet and has the most adorable puppy named Ruthie who lowkey stole the show.

Evie’s just finished her special ed degree and finds herself needing to stay at her brother Kai’s place... except there’s a tiny, furry problem, Ruthie, the stray pup she rescued. With Kai’s building being anti-pet, in steps Rhett, Kai’s best friend and teammate, offering up his spare bedroom. Evie has had a crush on Rhett for a long time, so this is either a great idea or a very terrible idea! Rhett is laid back, helpful, and just the right amount of flirty. And Evie is sunshine personified with a heart of gold. Her passion for working with kids with learning differences had me tearing up, and watching Rhett connect with that part of her? SWOON.

Their friendship blossoms into something so real and heart-melting. Rhett made sure she felt every ounce of love. They had intense chemistry together. It was really sweet the way they interacted together.

Lena Lee’s voice was soft and genuine and really nailed the Evie vibes. Alexander Neal as Rhett was so good, the southern drawl absolutely charmed me right into next week.

Steal A Kiss is a crush come to life kinda romance. Evie, the best friends sister & Rhett, the baseball player who likes the sister. There's plenty of steam and a great storyline. This book is a good addition to this series. I like all the characters, especially the MC's. It made me mist up when they both realized they love each other. I wanna know what bred Ruthie is. Lena Lee & Alexander Neal were great narrators and I just love that accent. Bringing this world to live is amazing.

Rhett is a baseball player for the Vancouver Tridents and is a southern charmer.

Evie is freshly out of college and coming to stay at her brother Kai’s apartment until a dog she finds abandoned and she can’t turn the pup away.

Kai’s building doesn’t allow pets but Rhett’s does. Evie and the pup stay with Rhett. This is a challenge for Evie as she’s had a crush on Rhett for years. For Rhett it becomes adamant that Evie is no longer a little girl but a full grown women and one he is very attracted to.

This was sweet and heartwarming. Loved every minute of this book.

Rhett Darlington is the Southern Charmer of the baseball team who finally falls for his one. Evie is his best friend’s little sister but these two have known each other for a while, and now that Evie graduated from college she needs a place to stay- found a dog she gets placed into Rhett care. These two have chemistry and find their way, with some steamy times.
This story is a super fun friends to lovers, he falls hard, BFF little sister, forced proximity sports romance. The narrators did a great job to match up with these two characters, it helped so much with the story via audiobook. Really enjoying this series!!

Lena Lee and Alexander Neal were fabulous in this dual audio. Eva and Rhett were super sweet but almost awkward together, especially at first. Once they figure the intracacies of their relationship out, they were kinda perfect! I love their communication and how they don’t talk around each other. They both have super supportive family, and I loved that the most. Eva fully balances every part of Rhett out, a true yin to his yang. This audio was great, and I enjoyed the story and the narration!

Steal a Kiss is the fourth book in author Julia Jarrett’s wildly entertaining Vancouver Tridents
Baseball series, and lucky for us there is one more book coming in the series. Each book is better than the last, or maybe it’s just because this baseball family is expanding and it’s not only the fun of meeting new characters and learning more about those that were previously in the background but also revisiting those multi-dimensional characters over and over, giving us stories with depth and themes and plot that run through the entire series. And my first introduction to these marvelous stories has been through audiobooks, which is – of course – the absolute best way to enjoy these well-written baseball romances.

Ronan and Willow and his daughter Peyton, Mav and Sadie and her weird cat, Monty and Lark all provided hours of listening pleasure. In Steal a Kiss we are lucky enough to spend lots of time with Evie Yamaki and Rhett Darlington.

Evie has just gotten her graduate degree and now it’s job-hunting time. It’s also time to move, since the university said in effect: here’s your degree, now find someplace else to live because university housing is for current students. She wasn’t prepared for that. Guess she’ll have to stay with her big brother Kai, one of the Tridents pitchers. No problem; it’s only temporary. Well, it’s going to be shorter than temporary because heart-of-gold Evie couldn’t resist rescuing a puppy from the side of the road on her way to Kai’s, and Kai’s building doesn’t allow pets. Oh oh.

Simple solution: move in (temporarily of course) with Kai’s teammate Rhett Darlington. We’ve already met Rhett in previous books and we know he’s a sweetie. The not-so-simple part of this solution, though, is that Evie has had a crush on Rhett for . . . forever. And, yes, Rhett is sweet, but there’s a little heat with that sweet and it seems the attraction is mutual. How’s that going to work? The big brother, the team, the temporary. Evie is supposed to be finding a job, starting a career, getting on with her life, not swooning over a (sexy, handsome, irresistible) man and getting into a relationship that might not work out.

Steal a Kiss is a delightful continuation of a delightful series. It’s warm and tender and spicy, funny and just an all-around satisfying listen. Narrators Lena Lee & Alexander Neal bring all the characters to life with the right pacing, tone, emotion, emphasis; the perfect complement to author Julia Jarrett’s perfect words. And don’t forget that Southern accent. Bonus: in a social media post Jarrett very thoughtfully provided a guide to the spicy chapters. I suggest you pay special attention to 16 and 34!! I really enjoyed the story. It’s a really good palette cleanser if you are looking for one. This one is perfect. It’s a sports romance with brother’s best friend and an adorable dog. The FMC needs a place to stay. While she looks for a job, she ends up rescuing a dog and unfortunately her brother’s apartment doesn’t allowed dogs. Lucky for her, her brother suggests for her to stay at his best friend’s house with the dog and well, what can go wrong right? It’s only until she finds a job. Plus, it’s not like she still has a crush on him. I absolutely recommend this story. It can also be read as a standalone but reading the series is so worth it. Lena Lee and Alexander Neal did a wonderful job narrating this story.

This book was such a cozy, heartwarming listen with just the right balance of sweetness, tension, and slow-burn romance. If you love the brother’s best friend trope, a little forced proximity, and a lovable puppy thrown into the mix—this one’s for you.
There’s banter, chemistry, and plenty of moments that made me smile (and maybe blush just a little).

🎧 The audiobook narration was fantastic. Lena Lee perfectly captured Evie’s warmth and inner strength, while Alexander Neal brought Rhett to life with just the right mix of charm and emotion. Together, they really pulled me into the story.
