About this listen

Perfection is not an option when it comes to type one diabetes, but it’s all too easy to feel like a failure. In her first book, Stacey explained how mistakes can become a parent’s secret superpower.

Now, she shows how her philosophy of “Not perfect, but safe and happy” can pay off as a child with type one diabetes moves toward independence as a young adult. This journey is not easy, but you are not alone!

I just binge listened to this book, Still the Worlds Worst Diabetes Mom- and cannot say enough how much I loved the perspective! I am very guilty of striving for perfection - and often lose site of the strong and independent daughter right in front of me. Safe & happy - my new mantra! I loved the real world ideas for slumber parties, traveling, driving and overall passing of “the torch!” Also- I’m with her on protecting our kids privacy. Parents unite!!!

Great real world perspective!
