She's not her first love, but could she be her last?
Billy is curious when her neighbor's daughter moves back home after a divorce. A couple of gruff encounters with Andi and Billy thinks she understands why she's suddenly single. Except she can't stop checking out Andi's sculpted legs and reveling in her IDGAF personality. After a brunch disaster with crying in public, and a light-hearted game night with friends, Billy starts wondering what's next on Andi's agenda...and if it could be her.Tropes: Return to hometown, second-chance at love, hurt/comfort.
Excerpt
"When are you going to realize that getting what you want is not convenient? It’s hard. It takes work. And guts to stand in the fire,” Billy said. It was coming out, and Billy had no way to hold anything back.
“But it’s so worth it. You’re so worth it. Because it’s what you deserve. Smart, amazing, attractive, beautifully broken you. You deserve to be happy all the way to your bones. Not get sucked into ‘familiar’ because he will never give you half of everything you should be demanding and not just settle for.”
By the wild look in Andi’s eyes, Billy was absolutely certain she’d tanked her chances. And that she had nothing to lose. Billy slipped her hands into the back of Andi’s hair and touched foreheads.
“Tell me, Andi,” Billy whispered, a howl from her guts. “You don’t want the fire.”
Billy kissed her. Thunder, lightning, hurricane-force desire pouring from her mouth into Andi’s.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

Story
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Story
Alice's journey begins as all good journeys do: hitting on the sales guy at REI. After a tumultuous breakup, a quick career transition, family upheaval, and a sobriety journey that didn't fix her life quite as much as she expected it to, Alice decides that the only way to solve all her problems is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. But as she begins preparing for the months-long quest, she realizes the answers she's seeking might not be on top of a snow-covered mountain. Especially since she just learned there was snow in California.

Story
A story of forbidden passion, unrelenting obsession, and finding yourself in the embrace of unexpected love. Maya When my best friend Bianca called me desperate for help, I didn't hesitate to rush to her aid, even if it meant venturing into the dangerous streets of Detroit's Brightmoor neighborhood. But I never expected to run into Cori, the woman I've secretly loved for years, and get swept up in a whirlwind romance. Now I'm moving in with her after one passionate night together, still unsure if this is all just a dream or if we're truly meant to be. As much as I want Cori, I also fear ...

Back Lands magazine for outdoor enthusiasts has featured Robin Hawke and her outfitting business several times. When her friend, Josie Whittle, the editor-in-chief of the magazine, asks Robin to take a group of writers and photographers out for a week Robin is happy to do it until she finds out that one of the writers going on the trip has never even been camping, let alone gone on a multi-day hike. The only hiking Marianne Jones does is at the mall, so she is not happy about this trip. Marianne makes Robin mad before the hike even starts.

Story
Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Lots of push and pull
I really enjoyed this story. I wish it was narrated by a professional actor, it would really come to life.
Lot's of push and pull between the two MC to figure out what they really wanted.
I could identify with this story as if it could be a true story. Realistic, down to earth, believable.

Audiobook.. Not my favorite
I wish they would have used an actual person to read this book and not this AI. I like the storyline but MAN it is hard to get through with the AI doing the story telling.

Pleasantly surprised
I wasn’t sure how this was going to go with a AI reader; but this was a great storyline.

If you want Siri or Alexa to read to you then this is the book for you.
Honestly, I could not listen to the book. It is read with AI so the narrator is a computer that sounds like Siri or Alexa reading. I’ll give the paperback a chance.

Billie Does not have any quality I admire!
What a Whining Useless Journey. I have never read a book that went on and on about nothing. The characters were just dull.
