About this listen

Moving from the Pentagon to the Middle East, filled with intrigue, adventure, and danger, this is the latest adrenaline-pumped military thriller from the New York Times best-selling master.

When a military coup in Iran leads to a crackdown on religious jihadists, it seems as if a new era is dawning in the Middle East, especially when the new leader, General Buzhazi, seeks to normalize relations with both America and Israel. But the Iranians are not really interested in peace....In the guise of pursuing and destroying Islamic militants, Buzhazi is planting thousands of Iranian Pasdaran special-ops troops throughout the oil-rich Kurdish region of Northern Iraq and in a lightning-quick operation brutally occupies the territory.

Unveiling its new military might, it invades Northern Iraq, catching the world - and America - completely off guard. To regain control of the region, America will rely on her own ultimate weapon: Patrick McLanahan and his team of special high-tech operatives.

Filled with the latest cutting-edge weaponry, geopolitical intrigue, high-flying suspense, and a colorful cast of characters, Strike Force promises to be one of New York Times best-selling author Dale Brown’s best.

Liked it a lot.

Really good story. It kept me on my toes. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Soooo uninteresting…

Story was boring and narrator has a strong Scottish accent when trying to do a Middle Eastern or Russian accent. It was very distracting. Also the dialogue when the Iranians were speaking was so American. By the end of the story I could care less about what was going on, I just wanted it to be over. I wish I could get my money and time back.

Eh….

The preface is good and was what I expected from this author for the whole book. But after that, it was just lots & lots & LOTS of talky-talk and yakety-yak. BORING! Beware! Not written for adults. Save your money.

disappointed

It's been a few years since I read one of Dale's books. I pretty much listened to every book he put out all the way up to Tinman.
And I loved every one of those books. They were well written. The stories were great. They were just great books.
But this book, since the beginning, something hasn't felt quite right about it. And then I stopped listing all together when they go to pick up the princess and the Civil Air Patrol guy sits there, calls his wife on a satellite phone to get questions answered. Give me a break.Disappointment doesn't even cover it.
Well at least I can read his old books again. But I won't be reading anything newer than Strike Force because obviously he's gone fantasy land.Truly, truly disappointed.
