jumping the shark

it's gotten a little unbelievable kinda of a petit Jack Reacher - Tom Cruise size. the narration is good the next one is not calling my name at least not urgently.

The narrator makes the audiobook!

Sonja Field does such a good job with these audiobooks! Her ability to differentiate the characters and to handle the many International accents is superb.

What a surprise

Sydney almost lost herself in her grief. She has such good friends she can depend on, but doesn't realize it. Great narration.

And evil will find you where ever you go...

In book 4 Sydney and Dan are living in India and Sydney finds herself getting a little antsy... but she is not ready for the evil she finds just down the road...literally!
This book brings a sharp light to the world of human trafficking of women as well as little boys. It brings to light that the horrors of trafficking is not exclusive to women and girls in parts of this world. but expands to children of both sexes.
This book is gritty and dark and looks at a hard subject. but I love that the character of Sydney steps up to do the right thing and is passionate that others do also.
I love the way that the narrator can bring the different cultures to life with her voice. It totally makes listening fo enjoyable.

The Driving Force

Sidney has an intestinal fortitude that inspires the reader to never give up. In these current days when women have lost what we fought so hard to achieve, we find strength in Sidney's actions. Women are the peacemakers, even if we do have to bloody a nose or two to achieve it.

Exciting and fresh!

I like the focus on justice rather than just destruction and control. The fight scenes are more realistic and the endings are not fully satisfying, like real life. These books also add the unquantifiable nature of relationships to the stories.
