I LOVE THIS BOOK!

We are trying to prepare for pregnancy and parenting BEFORE getting pregnant. I was specially worried about a lot of things, like social pressure on how to parenting, or breastfeeding, or childbirth. I was totally freaked out, and in this book I've found the help I needed to overcome those fears. It has practical tips and advice on how to approach the different stages of pregnancy and parenting, and without any judgement tells you is OKAY to worry about yourself and make YOU a priority.

The narrative is amazing, is enjoyable and cheerful, a pleasure to listen while driving or working. I loved the audio-bookbook so much I will definitely listen to it again, and probably buy it on hard-copy to have it on my nightstand as a basic.

Also, as a Millennial empowered woman who works but wants to be a mom, I found in this book comfort, and so much of the weight I had in my shoulders was lifted on the chapter about childcare and getting back to work. I cannot express enough gratitud for the author and all the research she has done. I RECOMMEND IT!

A staple in my Doula tool bag!

Strong As A Mother is a truly sensible and compassionate guide to a pregnant and parenting person’s real needs. It speaks to every person in a way a good, supportive friend would. Kate Rope’s warm, confident, supportive narration provides the perfect companion for those times when you need a friend to just tell you you’re doing great, provide resources, and anecdotal insight. But you don’t have to put on a pot of coffee or ask them to leave so you can get rest! No
In my professional work as a Doula, I recommend this book to all my clients. But it’s also a great reminder and resource to enhance my own support of families. Strong Like A Mother has become a true staple in my Doula tool bag!

I wish I found out about this sooner...

I am PP with my second daughter who is 8mo. I skipped over a lot of the pregnancy chapters & things I’ve felt I was past. I wish I had found out about this book when I was pregnant with my first. I think it would have helped me dramatically during the pregnancy and during the PP period. I applaud the author for making it her mission to take care of all the amazing mamas out there♥️

Refreshing

Good. Enjoyable, positive, normalizing. I'm very glad I listened. I even laughed out loud. I loved hearing about different perspectives and voices. You always think it's just you, but tons of people have had whatever you're feeling now before and it's fine to feel how you feel.

this is a must read for any mom, especially new ones

every single mom could benefit from at LEAST one chapter in this book. it will make you feel normal and encouraged, at the very least. i especially recommend this if you’re pregnant for the first time, or if you’re struggling in any way. this is the mom bible.
