Good but wanted more

Helpful tips good content but left me wanting more actually understanding other people and the meaning behind what they say and how to approach these social situations

More of a book to improve overall relationships and what actions will lead to have more friends than how to improve the actual social skills and interactions

How to win friends and influence people for your personal life

It’s a shame this book doesn’t get more attention. This is the most concise and practical book to making friends that matter.

There are thousands of self-help or personal development books out there. Most of them don’t talk much about having friends and the ones that do don’t provide actionable advice.

I personally think it’s because most people think wanting to make friends is fake or wouldn’t want anyone to know they have poor social skills.

This book actually surprised me because it showed me how intelligent it is to consciously choose our friends and that our social skills or ability isn’t a constant, but something that can be changed.

In this book, Tynan provides a simple actionable approach that’s useful for the socially inept and adept at making friends. It also leaves you with a good mindset on how to approach making friends and being a good friend.

Worth a listen!

Unfortunate

The most likeable people are the ones who are truly themselves and honest with their feelings and reactions.

If you follow the ideas in this book it will make you more social, but it’s a superficial fix. Work on self development and confidence.
