Publisher's summary

From best-selling authors Larissa Ione, Alexandra Ivy, Jacquelyn Frank, and G. A. Aiken comes an anthology of four all-new novellas set in the alluring worlds that each has created.

"Vampire Fight Club" by Larissa Ione - When a wave of violence forces shapeshifter Vladlena to go undercover, her first stop is a haven of vice---with a dangerously sexy vamp in charge. Both Vladlena and Nathan are hiding something, but they can't conceal the lust that simmers between them.

"Darkness Eternal" by Alexandra Ivy - After being held captive by one vampire for four centuries, Kata had no intention of taking another one to the underworld with her. Yet even in the pits of hell, there's no ignoring the intoxicating desire awakened by his touch.

"Kane" by Jacquelyn Frank - Kane knows Corrine was meant to be his . . . just as he knows that truly possessing the lovely human is forbidden. But on the night of the Samhain moon, the beast in every demon is stronger than reason, and Kane's hunger is more powerful than any punishment.

"Dragon on Top" by G. A. Aiken - Escorting the highborn Bram through deadly Sand Dragon territory will try Ghleanna's patience . . . and her resolve. For Bram is determined to enhance the journey with a seduction no female could resist.

Fun and imaginative stories

I loved the new vampire take. The Demon story was quite imaginative. I love G.A. Aiken’s dragon stories and that’s why I bought this audiobook.

The first story was awesome.

The second story had huge plot holes. I mean who doesn’t think to take the head with them after decapitating the bad guy who is essentially un-killable. The third story started out horribly and for the first time this year on my 118th Audible I just deleted this one.

Fab stories

Because of stories like these, I've found a new love of audio books. I own this book on both my Nook & kindle. but listening has brought a new level of fun to it. I listen to books all the time now

Unengaging - Do Not waste your money as I did

While the written word was entertaining, the audio version was disappointing. Pick up the book and read it. Ms Eyre did not do this book any justice at all. Very disappointed.

3 Good ones..

Any additional comments?

Vampire Fight Club
Pretty good book. It had a good storyline and some good secondary characters. I really liked Nate and Lena. Also liked Marsden, Eidolon, Shade, Luc and Wraith. It had some good sex too. This is my first time reading anything by this author and I liked her writing so I’ll look into more of her books. 5 stars.

Darkness Eternal
Another pretty good book. I think Uriel was just awesome and Kata was very likable. Yannah sounded kinda cool, for a demon. You didn’t meet Sergei but he was described as being evil enough in the book that you felt like he was there all along. Marika? What can I say about that crazy, vicious bitch? And the backstory about why the battle happened with the demon at the docks in London was pretty darn slick, leaving Uriel to worry for, at least, two centuries. The sex was very good. The reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because it made me crazy every time I read the word “husked.” I looked up the word and nowhere did it have anything to do with speaking. She husked? He husked? How about groaned, grumbled, whispered, murmured, etc. Something that makes sense. This is my first read by Alexandra Ivy and that single word would keep from reading anything else by her. I’m afraid she’d continue using that stupid word and I would spend too much time cringing. 4 stars.

Kane
This is my favorite one so far but that’s probably because I read Jacob’s story last year. I liked it but, as I said in my review, I can’t see myself reading anything by this author because she just goes on and on telling a story and really not letting the players in the book participate, just pages and pages with no one saying a word. This was sorta like that. However, I really liked Kane and Corrine. And it was nice to see Jacob, Noah and Abram. And the sex was awesome. The only thing that made me crazy was how many times Destiny or Sweet Destiny was used. It was a lot considering this was a novella. 4 stars.

Dragon on Top
Oh well, 3 novellas out of 4 isn’t bad, because I won’t be reading this last book. This is the drawback to these kinds of bundled books. I just can’t read a book where the author refers to a woman’s parts as a pu$$y. I know a lot of you like that but to me it’s just disgusting. I don’t read books without sex but that’s just dirty and I like romantic sex. I’m glad it was the last book because I really enjoyed the others.

As to the narrator: I don't know! Most of the time I like Ms. Eyre's reading. She makes the men sound like men, even if they all sound alike, at least they sound manly. However, when the book says someone yells she read in a regular tone and when it say someone is whispering she never does. If Ms. Eyre did what the book said and put some emotions in her reading she would be awesome. Just sayin'

Awful narration

If you can get past the terrible narration, the G.A. Aiken story was great (as they always are). The first story was also decent, the other two were a waste of time.

TLDR: grab this one in print and just read the first and last stories.

All books are part of other series.

Supernatural in order on Audible playlist

1. 4 stars. Vampire Fight Club by Larissa Ione, book 5.5 in the Demonica series. A good addition to the Demonica/Horseman series. I think that it could have easily been a full length story. Way better than her other short story that was written. 3 hours 1 min.

2. 3 stars. Darkness Eternal by Alexandria Ivy, book 7.5 in the Guardians of Eternity series. Story was okay but I'm not a huge fan of this series and after reading book one I gave up this author. 3 hours 8 mins.

3. 3.5 stars. Kane by Jacquelyn Frank, book 1.5 in the Nightwalker series. This book will make a lot more sense if book 1, Jacob is read first. Of course this mostly took place in a bed so it wasn't that exciting. But good for hot sex. 2 hours 39 mins.

4. 4.5 stars. Dragon on Top by GA Aikens, book 4.5? in Dragon Kin series. I really liked this book and I wish that Audible would get the entire series. I have read all of Shelly Laurenston aka GA Aikens, Pride Series and have enjoyed it and I know I would enjoy the rest of the Dragon Kin series. 4 hours 48 mins.

Not my favorite narrator. Justine Eyre has a slight smokers voice but I didn't mind her too much.

I had to DNF because of the narrator

Would you try another book from the authors and/or Justine Eyre?

I am currently buying any and all audiobook with Shelly Laurenston/ GA Aiken but this one will be returned. (Se the reason below)

What did you like best about this story?

#4 'Dragon on Top' by GA Aiken:
I love the fierceness of Glenna the Decimator and her interactions with Bram the Merciful. Their story is just as humorous and snarky as the rest of the Dragonkin tales are.
If you don't like bloody swordfights and overly narcissistic characters (because dragons!), then you won't enjoy this one.

Would you be willing to try another one of Justine Eyre’s performances?

No.
While I know that some names can be hard to pronounce, I just can't fathom why Gleanna becomes Iolanna in this narrator's case.
If such a mistake is her norm, I am unwilling to flesh out my hard earned $$.

Could you see Supernatural being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yeah, it probably could but I prefer reading. That way I get to picture the characters just as I like.

Any additional comments?

I bought this anthology solely for GA Aikens story 'Dragon on Top'.
I already own it as ebook and paperback and have recently discovered audiobooks.

What would prompt me to DNF a book I love this much?
When the narrator calls the heroine by the wrong name.
Her name is Gleanna. NOT iolanna!
I thought I heard it wrong at first but I was no more than 1 minute and 9 seconds into the book when I realized that it wasn't my hearing, but the narrator's pronouncement.

I am returning this pronto and will remember to listen to samples in the future.
