Awful Narrator

As someone with medical background, I found listening to the narrator vexing—things were mispronounced (ie OR meaning operating room was pronounced “or” like the word; IV was pronounced “four” like the Roman numeral; and there were others). It distracted from the storyline. Also, the narration was robotic without any emotional inflections. Once I listened to the ending credits the answer was provided—a computer generated narrator. Story was good however I wish I had read the hard copy.
