About this listen

Reports to write, forms to fill, coffee to drink, leads to run down, organized crime syndicates to break.

Gus’ life had been a tedium and boredom he’d grown comfortable with. One that he sought out after he’d come back from his tour of duty.

That was before Melody, a contractor, more or less blew his life up as if it were a building packed full of C-4.

Then helped him make a new life, which he himself ended blowing up.

A cushy new job with the FED, thrown out the window with a single gunshot.

All based on an assumption of who was working for who, and that he’d been on the wrong side of the equation.

And so ended his career in law enforcement after he became the assassin of a presidential candidate.

Now Gus is on to the next job - this time, working for his contractor and wife. The job they’re about to be given is a high-paying one.

The thing is, that the people they’re going up against? They’re just out to see the world burn. To send it screaming back down into the dark ages.

It’s a good thing that he’s a Boogieman.

Because being an apex predator that made the entirety of the paranormal world fear him was something he could fall back on even in this situation. To hunt, investigate, and watch from the shadows.

Wouldn’t be the first time he’d put his life on the line, either.

Unfortunately, for everyone involved, the long forgotten and primordial past was rearing its ugly head.

Gus knows he can certainly punch above his own weight class, but this case might just be the one that ends him.

Warning and minor spoiler: This novel contains graphic violence, undefined relationships/harem, unconventional opinions/beliefs, and a hero who is as tactful as a dog at a cat show. Listen at your own risk.

Finally found them

I've been going through every single book in the collection(in an order I found online) searching for closure to one of the series. Super sale on super heroes was my favorite of the series and this one is a very close second. It's been great to hear how the writing has gotten better and better with every installment (not that it started at a bad place). Well done!

This is a great end to the series!

This is one of my favorites in the Runner Verse. Gus and his family are a joy i hope to see them appear later in the Runner Verse.

close to my favorite book in the multiverse

the story is amazing the combat is great the development of the MC is a little weird but good and easily explained so 10/10 the issue that bugged me in the second book is confronted and taken care of in a nice way the narration is amazing. (SPOILER WARNING) i will try to be vague so no actual spoilers as best I can plot wholes that really wish were brought up. 1.will Jillian be emotional yellow because she is a shrink or will she be a romantically charged red for being a what she is, because she could be both and it is explain that you could have more than 1 of each color to lighten the load. 2. will yasha be a color or not. 3. what is cloey reaction to yasha. 4. not much detail on what is going in the haley department. again amazing work thank you all

God damn

Well alright I already like this series. I can easily see a few more books being written about it. I love it. I am sad about the suddenness of a spoiler but glad that it's not really permanent but still. I look forward to future books. Also side note when ever Gus is talking I picture the boogeyman from the grim adventures of billy and mandy. It very funny.

Series is still going strong

OK, so the first book really gave a neat world, and this one can't keep up with that.

BUT, it is still a really good book. Great crossover from Incubus Inc, and it seems like it falls during the second book on the timeline, but from a different point of view. This book also doesn't have as much steamy sex and instead has a lot more plot building. I think this series could keep going for a while if it keeps this up.

The narrator is amazing! the amount of different voices as well as inflection really pulls you in and makes you feel like you are listening to a group of people.

Overall I would definitely suggest this book if you liked either of the first two or any of the incubus Inc. books.
