About this listen

Piper has been crushing on Ryder Williams for years....

What better chance to make her move on him than when he’s sacrificing himself on an auction block for a squealing mass of fans at a charity event? Too bad she’d rather hide in the bathroom than raise her paddle; what girl actually bids on a guy who doesn’t know she exists?

Not. Piper.

But that's what friends are for....

One meddling best friend, and an overpriced bid later, and Ryder Willams is Piper's for the taking. Too bad that she has no intention of collecting on his debt.

Too bad Ryder is determined to find out why.

Note: Switch Bidder is a short #JockHard novella, at 10,000 words - aka short novella.

This story was good and REALLY short. I wish I had paid way more attention before spending my full credit on 45 minutes on an abbreviated novella. Not a full story, no history and definitely not a full story. But enjoyable.

Really good but not worth the credit.

Great little short story.
wish it had been a full length but, well worth the credit and your time to listen.
love Tim Paige and Brooke Bloomingdale did a fine job too.

So sweet

I love the female narrator for this book, but the male narrator sounds too old and mature for the role.
And why is this book so short?

Steamy but too short

This is a nice romantic suspense where the cop falls for his neighbor victim and helps her find herself. Will it give you a deep romance? No. Will there be twists and turns galore while the bad guy plats cat and mouse? Not at all. But it is a feel good romantic suspense novella.

Girl finds herself

Been waiting for this to get adapted, my one beef is it's barely over an hour. 😢🤷‍♀️
This was a cute short and hot! listen. 🥰
Goodreads doesn't have the correct narrators listed...🤨

This was a cute short, but a continuity issue dampened my enjoyment of it. The MMC runs into the FMC, thinks she looks familiar/is trying to place her and then hopes he is right that she is who he thinks she is when he asks her if she is Piper. All of that is fine. We learn in his inner monologue that his friend has a crush on Piper, which causes the MMC to take notice and he liked her too. That's also fine. The continuity issue is later, when the MMC's inner monologue reveals he had a crush on the FMC for "months, if not years" and he's been wanting her for that long. The inner monologue makes it sound like he had been pining, but earlier, he had trouble placing her and wasn't exactly sure it was even the same girl from his class that he (and his friend) had a crush on. So, when he says in his inner monologue he was disappointed he didn't hear from the FMC after she won the auction because of his crush, it doesn't really make sense. When one's crush is right in front of them, they recognize them instantly unless they have a mask on or something.

If it weren't for this issue, this would be a 4-5 star read.

It was short, simple, and easy to get through. I will just add, I'm not a huge fan of 'Not Like the Other Girls' trope... not entirely sure why it was in such a short story.

Kind of Just Average

Not too much meat but it’s a great concept. The voices of both characters are perfect, in fact I think I’ll track down more books narrated by Tim Paige.

Short but quite sweet
