Ummm...IDK.

This story was so disjointed, but I laughed out loud too many times to count. I want to say the series isn't that great but you can't discount how ridiculously funny some parts were. Christopher/ Gay Bae is f-ing hilarious!

Great squeal

The first book was about their coming together and the squeal more about acceptance and growth.

First off i highly recommend people listen to the first book to truly appreciate the squeal. to recap, the first book was very much a coming of age story where two friends drunkenly have sex one day. Inevitably they fall in loved with each other but can't over their sexuality and fears. They kept on trying to convince themselves they were straight which causes plenty of drama and comedy. The dialog and characters were overtly macho and filled with toxic masculinity (at times made me cringe) but once i realized it was IRONIC it made the book even more funnier. i believe the author did this on purpose to show readers how stupid young boys can be and so-on etc, etc,

NOW leading to the sequel! it very much builds on the first book. the dialog and characters develop and mature immensely. there is so much more that happen in this book i dont even know where to begin. the first book was only a span of a few weeks that and that audiobook was about 7hours, This book spans a few months and is only half the audio time but it touches on so much more. im over simplifying it when i say the characters learn what it means to be in a loving gay relationship. i guess things come together quickly once they voice their love for each other.

Overall it is a very lovely story of love and acceptance. the author did a great job conveying the feelings and thoughts a lot of people have about coming out and did justice to lgbt community without being overly PC and there is plenty of humor. the two books complement each other very well i recommend both of them. even though these themes are overly done what sets this book apart is the clever writing (and hot sex scenes), it is great and memorable.

much better

The narration is different from book 1 but still good. Audio and editing quality is waaaay better than book 1. And the character development is off the charts compared to book 1. It's just that the arc for character development spans both books, and there's a time jump between them, so you miss some of that development. Overall, I feel it's a good book.

This was much better than the first one

Super cute. I liked their growth in this story. Michael Mola’s narration was way better this time.

Great conclusion

This was a great conclusion to their story. Still annoyed in a few spots but overall way better than the first.
