what every teen should read

My son is a teenager and he has been thinking that in a few years he will live by himself and be independent. I am glad in the book shows how to manage money because he was clueless. He thought money grows on trees so by listening to this book he understood it. I loved the chapter that talks about car maintenance. That’s helpful! great book

A Must-Listen

This should be required listening for all teenagers. This is a well-rounded approach to entering adulthood in a healthy way. There are a ton of topics covered. Even things that most teens would be inclined to overlook like health and nutrition are covered, and if followed, would set teens up for success as they come into adulthood. This is a must-grab for any teen or parent of a teen!

Makes a Great Gift!

This is a great book for parents who have teens and tweens. Although it’s written in an engaging manner and speaks to the teen, parents should read this first or have their own copy as well. I love the way this book speaks to the teen and gives advice as a friend talking to them. So many teens don’t have the tools to understand handling finances and understanding of basic skills needed going into adulthood. This book helps establish those foundations. I especially like the personal hygiene and nutritional information covered as well. I wish I’d had this book for myself when I was younger and will definitely give to my grandchildren.

Relevant and Critical

Teen Meets World does a great job of capturing not only the contemporary emotional priorities of the average teenager, but the highest priority skills and habits they should consider developing moving into adulthood. The author weaves each of these behavioral and developmental achievements in with the concerns relevant to that age group, and makes them more accessible and relatable for the teenage listener. Our niece took much of the insights contained to heart, and was asking us about a number of the prompts which resonated with our experience. Fantastic resource.

Excellent Resource

I wish a book like this existed when I was a teen. Full of practical examples, and personal stories, this book covers goal setting, nutrition, money management an more. I’m glad I had a chance to read this book before my daughter becomes a teen, as I now have a much better idea of how I want to parent her as she continues to grow and develop. I’ve had fears of the teenage years, since my own teenage years were so tumultuous. This book is written directly towards teens, and should be required reading in all junior high schools and high schools.
